These instructions were printed using our TransMagic!™ Inks on
TruePix high definition paper for optimum clarity.
Note - If you have been using another bulk system, be sure to remove any
parts left in or on the printer such as chip bars, tube holders, etc…
Fill the tank using the syringes with the correct color up to 1” from the top
and place the rubber plugs into the large hole only. Place the filters in the
small holes (large end down). Place tube holder (C) on the left side of the
printer as shown.
To prime the ink cartridges, remove the plug on the top of the cartridge and
place your syringe in the hole. Slowly draw air out of the cartridge to force
ink to be pulled in to the cell until full. Replace the plug when done. Do this
for each color. NOTE – Pulling slowly will minimize air bubbles in cartridge.

Installing the Cartridges ------------------------------------------------------Open the cartridge lid and install the primed cartridges into the printer by
feeding the cartridges through the opening in the cartridge lid. It is a tight fit
so care should be taken. Press each cartridge down until they click into
place then close the cartridge lid.
Place the center tube holder (D) 4.5” from the Right side opening.
Press the left button to begin the charging process. The printer will
eventually stop with a solid green light.
To complete the install, go to the printer folder located in the control
panel and right click on your printer and choose “Printing Preferences”.
Use the nozzle check utility located under the maintenance tab and
follow the on-screen instructions to get a perfect nozzle check. It may
take between 3-8 sets of head cleanings and nozzle checks to get a
perfect pattern
*Note – Do not do more than 10 head cleanings per hour

Note – The tank must remain on the same table as the printer or the
same level as the printer at all times. Failure to do so may result in
damage to the printer and/or loss of ink.

give you outstanding results in print quality without the high cost
of similar papers. TruePix paper is only 17.5¢ per sheet compared
to 75¢ per sheet photo paper

Setting up your C88 Printer for TransMagic! Inks
TransMagic! Inks, like all other inks, needs to be profiled so color matching is not so difficult. Use
the following instructions to create a saved print mode you can easily choose when printing.
First, go to your printers and faxes folder and right click on your C88 printer and choose
“Printing Preferences” from the pop-up menu. (The printers and faxes folder is located
in your control panel)
If you see the screen shown below, click the “Advanced” button near the bottom.

Place a check in the box “Show this screen first”
Duplicate the following settings and click “Save Settings” at the bottom.
Each time you print, select your printer and click the “Properties” button to show the
print modes. Choose your print mode from the drop down box at the bottom right, and
press the “OK” button.

Your inks will now print using the color adjustment you saved as a print mode. If you
have a need for getting closer to a color match than our suggested starting point, you
can adjust any of the settings to achieve it. Don’t forget to save your settings before
closing the properties.
TIP – Be sure and do a nozzle check before printing your first print of the day. This will
minimize wasted ink. You can find the utility under the Maintenance tab. Follow the onscreen instructions to get a perfect nozzle check and then your ready for the days
printing.
