Adding a Medical Dictionary
Adding a Medical Dictionary Adding a medical dictionary to the spell check function used by Nightingale Notes within Firefox. Please note it would be advisable to add this dictionary while entering a new client in the General Notes section after you have added this client. After completing the task of adding the medical dictionary it will automatically log you out of Nightingale Notes and thus not saving the information you have just entered. Also, note that since this is a Firefox application it will need to be added to all computers you are using to access Nightingale Notes. Right click on a red underlined word in Nightingale Notes While right clicked on the misspelled and underlined word, scroll down to languages and you will notice that the dictionary selected is English/United States. Select Add Dictionaries Another tab will open on your Firefox browser In the search window type medical dictionary and select the green arrow It will suggest you add on OpenMedSpel Select the box on the right that states “Let me install this experimental add-on” After selecting the box it will not enable you to select the green plus sign that says “Add to Firefox” It will then open a window asking you to accept the end-user license agreement. Select the green plus sign that says “Accept and Install” It will then open a smaller window indicating that you only install add-ons that you trust. Select “Install Now” After downloading it will open another window asking that you restart Firefox. Select “Restart Firefox” Another window will open stating that Firefox will restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. Select Restart Another window will open with a summary of the add-ons you have for Firefox. Close out this window by selecting the X in the top right corner. You will need to log back into Nightingale Notes at this time. Go back to the chart you were working on and your misspelled word.
