Fall Fishing Festival

plays host to its most anticipated annual
event-the famous Fall Fishing Festival.

Blueberry Blast
Held during the August long
weekend, the Blueberry Blast is a
favourite for families looking for a fun-filled
weekend of blueberry picking and entertainment.
Hike for Health
The annual Nipigon Hike for
Health fundraiser supports
local and area health programs.
During the rugged 10km trek,
hikers enjoy spectacular views
from 3 lookouts over Nipigon
Bay on Lake Superior, and later
relax on the leisurely portion of
the trail beside the Nipigon River
and its wetlands. Takes place the
last Saturday in September.
Nipigon’s Paddle To The Sea Park is an educational
and interactive children’s playground inspired by
the 1941 children’s book by Holling C. Holling. An
aboriginal boy carves a wooden figurine and sets it
free to travel the Great Lakes to the Atlantic ocean.
The story follows the progress of the little wooden
canoe on its journey through all five Great Lakes
and the St. Lawrence River.
Make your way through 12 educational stations
and experience the journey of the little wooden
canoe as it makes its way from the Nipigon River
to the Atlantic Ocean.
Begin your adventure on 3rd Street, continue your
journey down Riverview Street, and complete
your voyage at the charming Nipigon Marina on
Brennen Drive.
