A BCR-SD Card Reader is included in the Bravida (Integrated by
Panasonic) access system for contactless card reading. The BCR-SD has
a keypad for usage in door environments that require an access code for
higher security. The card reader is generally mounted in a door
environment with the door control unit S-Node or directly to a C-Node.
The elegant and robust design allows both indoor and outdoor
installations.
The card reader is equipped with a built-in antenna for card reading, a
clearly visible keypad, LED indications, internal buzzer and convenient
display for graphical symbols. The card reader is sabotage protected in a
sturdy ABS case, with EIA485 interface.
The card reader is used for contactless access card reading in a 50mm
range, as well as status indications of the door environment and access
requests. Integrated management of alarm handling allowing the
possibility to set and unset alarms in different areas is included. Built-in
buzzer for warning and button press indication etc. Connector for
additional external buzzer is included. Integrated heating is activated at
low ambient temperatures.
The contactless reader uses a 13.56 MHz frequency range incl. AES 128
bit encryption. The BCR-SD Card Reader is customised for Mifare
smartcard readings. Bravida (Integrated by Panasonic) allows flexible
configuration of how information is read and handled which supports any
customer requirements. In those cases you need to use the Mifare cards
for access control but do not want to take advantage of sector reading,
Bravida (Integrated by Panasonic) has the possibility to use the unique
card ID in each Mifare cards. A reader with Bravida software manages
any sectors or applications area, with optional A-key, AID’s with optional
safety for Mifare Classic, Plus & DESFire. The transponder provides a
unique code carrier in the access control and can be ordered in various
designs such as ISO chip card (CR80 with or without magnetic band) or
chip dongle.
