Tips and Tricks for the right care!
WAX
PartyLite jar candles feature our proprietary wax formula, a custom blend of high-quality natural wax and foodgrade paraffin that is specially crafted to deliver the very best fragrance experience and performance. All fragrances
comply with worldwide safety standards established by the International Fragrance Association. Here’s where you
can find out everything you need to know to get the best enjoyment out of your candles.
TEALIGHTS & LARGE T
­ EALIGHTS
liquefy while burning and burn until they are
almost completely consumed. Tip: Please do not
extinguish when only 1/3 of the wax remains, as the
tealight may no longer burn off completely when
relit.
SCENT PLUS MELTS
are liquefied in PartyLite fragrance warmers either through the heat
of a tealight or in electric fragrance warmers from the heat of the hot
plate. Because of the intensity of fragrance concentration, Scent Plus
Melts are appropriate for use in larger rooms. Tip: Wax remnants can
be easily removed after they have cooled. Press your thumbs onto
the edges of the wax, which can then be popped out of the warmer
in one piece.
VOTIVES
liquefy while burning and are almost totally consumed.
Remove the small metal disc from the burnt down candle
before inserting a new one into the holder. You can
also secure the metal disc to the base of the candle by
removing it along with the wick, warming the wax around
the wick opening and then re-inserting the wick and
pressing the disc into the hot wax. The wick should always
be centred while burning, as the intensity of the one sided
heat may cause the glass of the holder to burst. Tip: Always
burn votives in appropriate holders.

WAX
3-WICK CANDLES
provide a long-lasting fragrance. Every time it is lit, the candle should be allowed
to burn long enough for the entire surface to become liquefied. As soon as the wax
edge is soft and pliable, extinguish the candle and gently press the edge inwards
to allow your candle to burn down more evenly. If the wicks lean sideways, please
trim them and take care that they are all the same length. For safety reasons, these
candles should not be relit when they have burnt down to 1.5 cm.
Our 3-wick candles are also available in jars.
TAPERS
are fragrance-free so you can fully concentrate on enjoying the aromas of your food.
They fit perfectly to candle lit dinners. Tapers are hand-crafted and then dipped into
wax with a higher melting point than the core, so they burn slowly. Extinguish the
candle when it is down to about 1.5 cm. Tip: If you wrap the candles in foil or cling
film and place them in the refrigerator about 1 hour before lighting, they will burn at
a slower rate.
GLOLITE PILLARS
are hand-crafted. Allow your GloLites to burn long enough for the
wax to liquefy to the candle rim. As soon as the rim of the candle
becomes soft, it expands to a balloon-like shape, giving the candle
a natural look. If you’d like to have the GloLite back to its original
straight shape, gently press the softened wax edge inward after
the candle has been extinguished. A GloLite Pillar must not be
burned for longer than 3 hours at a time. Extinguish GloLite Pillars
when they have burnt down to about 1.5 cm.
PILLARS
come in a range of colours, fragrances, textures and formats.
Please make sure to maintain about 4 cm distance between the
individual candles. If the wick is not centrally positioned after the
candle has been extinguished, move it to the centre before the
wax cools. Let Pillars burn long enough for the wax rim to soften
and then regularly press the edge carefully inward/downward.
Extinguish the candle when it has burnt down to about 1.5 cm.

Jar Candles are highly scented to deliver a strong fragrance throw. Exclusive wax blend is poured into glass jars that are designed to allow
for the best burn. Our jars burn most effectively if you let them burn long enough for the wax to liquefy up to the edges of the glass jar.
Do not light the candle when only a small wax residue remains. Extinguish the candle when it has burned down to about 1.5 cm from
the bottom of the jar. Tip: Use of a coaster is recommended. Depending on the jar size, our long-lasting Jar Candles will provide 20-60

FRAGRANCE OIL REFILS FOR REED DIFFUSERS

The more reeds you use, the more intense the fragrance will
be. Of course, the size of the room is an important factor. To
adjust the intensity of the fragrance, simply add or remove
reeds.

CARE TIPS
• Fragrance oil disperses gradually.
• Do not mix fragrance oils together, with wax,
or mix with any other substances, i.e. water.
• Remove any spilled oil immediately with a cloth.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not allow oil-soaked reeds or toppers to touch
any finished surface. If spilled, clean up immediately

Holders as the sticks are oil impregnated.
• For best results, use in small to medium sized rooms.
• Start with 1-2 sticks and add more for increased
fragrance.
• The fragrance is strongest for the first two weeks. To

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
• Trim wicks to about ½ cm each
time before lighting, to avoid them
bending to the side (with
the exception of tealights, votives
and Nature’s Light jars – do not
trim these).
• For all candles, please take care to
position the wick so that it points
towards the centre.
• If the wick is too short and is in
danger of ‘drowning’. Extinguish
the candle and use a tissue
to remove some of the wax
surrounding the wick.
• Position candles at least 4cm apart,
if burning more than one at the
same time.
• If a ‘wick blossom’, develops on
the wick, extinguish the candle,
remove the impediment, and then
relight the candle.
• Ensure that no foreign objects
such as dead matches or remnants
of trimmed wicks get into the
liquefied wax. Foreign objects tend
to become additional ‘wicks’ and
this may result in uneven burning
of the candle.
• Place candles on flat surfaces.
Avoid placing in direct sunlight
and on hot surfaces such as
windowsills, terraces, tiled stoves,
televisions and computers.
• With tealights and votives,
depending on the fragrance/
colour and surrounding
temperature, a wax residue may
remain.
• For best results use a snuffer to
extinguish the candle flame.
• Do not remove the sticker at the
base of the candle, as this may
result in pulling out the wick.
• The warmer the surrounding
temperature, the more easily
candle wax liquefies.
• When burning the candle in a
wall sconce, discolouration on
the wall may occur over time with
extensive use due to the heat of
the candle.
RULES OF SAFET Y:
• Never leave burning candles
unattended and we recommend
only burning them in PartyLite
holders and on appropriate heat
resistant surfaces. Take care when
children or pets are nearby. Make
sure to maintain sufficient distance
to flammable materials.
• Do not place candles on or
anywhere near furniture or
electrical devices that are not heatresistant.
• Burning candles should not be
moved. Liquid wax can cause
injuries or damage to surfaces.
• Avoid drafts or extreme differences
in room temperature.
• Please pay attention to the advice
on packages and informational
product inserts.
