Grayslake North High School Youth Night - Friday, August 26th
Mark your calendars. This is a fun event every year for our athletes and their families. Teams will be
introduced on the field between the sophomore and varsity games. The costs for the games are as follows:
Athletes in Uniform/Jersey get in FREE.
Coaches/TC's get in FREE.
Kids 5 and under get in FREE.
Adults - $5.00
Students - $3.00
Senior Citizens - $2.00
**CHEER & DANCE TEAMS**
Where: GNHS - Meet in the Field House
Time: ALL athletes are to arrive at 5:30p (FULL uniform)
***Cheerleaders and Dancers will perform during the pre-game show and will be lining up outside at 6:30pm
before the Varsity Game at 7:15pm.
**FOOTBALL TEAMS**
Where: GNHS – Meet against the building just before the bleachers.
Time: ALL athletes are to arrive at 6:00. Please wear either your practice jersey, or if you have a BLACK jersey
from a previous year, you can wear that as well.

Charity Mania Incentive – Earn $$$ off of 2017 registration! **ONLY 2 WEEKS LEFT**
As you know, our primary fundraiser of the year is Charity Mania. All profits from Charity Mania go straight
into the Colts and are used for helmets, uniforms, equipment and other improvements, which is why we stress
participation. This year, we have an exciting incentive planned for all families! After your first 10 tickets sold,
you will receive a Colts license plate frame. Sell 20 tickets and earn $20 off of 2017 registration, and for
every addition 10 tickets sold, you continue to earn $20 towards 2017 fees! The top seller from football as
well as cheer & dance wins 1 free registration for 2017. If you need additional tickets, please e-mail
[email protected].
Tickets must be turned in to Sheree or Mark by September 8th to qualify for the 1st week drawings!
This year, we will also be offering on-line ticket sales to make it easier to sell to family and friends that do not
live close by. To purchase your Charity Mania tickets on-line, please go to our website at the following

Please see Sheree or Mark at the concession stand during our home games this weekend or from 5:30PM to
7:30 PM on Wednesday, 8/31 at The Aquatic Field Concession Stand to return your sold tickets or to pick up
additional tickets. Mark will also be at several of the cheer & dance practices to collect tickets. We will be
scheduling additional times and locations to turn in sold tickets soon. Watch for more details to follow.

Grayslake Central High School Youth Night - Friday, September 23rd
Mark your calendars. This is a fun event every year for our athletes and their families. Teams will be
introduced on the field between the sophomore and varsity games. Our cheer & dance teams will also be
invited to perform during the varsity pregame. Watch for more details soon!
Football Concussion Baseline Testing Reminder
The Grayslake Colts and TCYFL utilize a program called ImPACT. ImPACT is a computerized exam which is
currently being utilized by many professional, collegiate, and high school sports programs throughout the
country. The exam is used to properly diagnose and manage concussions.
The test is a non-invasive computerized exam which is set up in a video game format. The test takes
approximately 45 minutes to an hour to complete. It tracks information such as memory, reaction time, speed,
and concentration. Essentially the ImPACT test is a preseason physical of the brain, it is not an IQ test.
Who should test?
The following athletes should participate in the Baseline Testing:
All 10 year old athletes.
All 1st year athletes 11 years and older.
All returning athletes 11 years old and up that were not tested last year.
The test will take approximately 45 minutes.
If you are required to complete the testing this year and are unable to attend one of the sessions this past
weekend, you MUST contact Centegra Medical Center in McHenry at 815-344-5000 to schedule to take a test
there. There will be a fee for this test at Centegra Medical Center.
