All partners agreed to use the label rally-e: Rallye (engl. also rally) is the French originated word that can be translated with meeting or gathering, it also means a strong rise in stock markets. So rally-e symbolises the get together of the consortium to give e-mobility a strong push forward for a breakthrough in vehicle usability and sales. 07.02.2014 www.rally-e.at 4 WP 20 – partnership • The changes in the project consortium lead to the possibility to implement the targeted development process with real existing partners: • SEW provides their equipment for inductive charging to the project and want quick results for the series development from Speed for SMEs. Also new project partners from the supplier industry have already been won: WP Performance Systems wants to test new cooler configurations for low temperature vehicle cooling, as required for e-mobility (temperature range 45-75 °C). WP20.1 Supplier Analysis: the suppliers are not analysed as described in the application, but their ability to define common interfaces and operate with their components. This seems to be a weak point of e-mobility. Too less regulations or VDA standardisation agreements steer the interaction of e-components, so the interfaces must be defined together. • 07.02.2014 5 WP 20 – further technical partnerships • • • • • • 07.02.2014 - Gearbox and motor strategies - Radiator deployment - All liquids - Sound system - Drive Shafts - Inductive charging 6 WP 30 – car data rally-e MK1 – technical data Car-base Power Torque Vehicle weight Battery weight Energy content Voltage Current drain V max 07.02.2014 Peugeot 207 S2000 up to 370 kW up to 880 Nm 1500 kg max 360 kg max 60 kWh 350 - 470 V max 1000 A 180 km/h 7 WP 30 – CBP - Competition Battery Pack The CBP is the battery platform of the car. It contains 22 modules, each equipped with 150 battery cells. The modules can be fitted of 18650 cell types with different chemistry within an hour. Other cell types can be applied within eight weeks. Features: Cell type Cell size Voltage Max. capacity Max. weight Cooling Connectores up to 07.02.2014 LiNiCoO2 18650 410V 60kWh 285 kg air 1000A, 1000V 8 WP 30 – the car - innovations All-wheel drive with identical drive units at the front and rear axle with IDT (Integrated Drive Train). E-motor, motor controller, transmission and differential form an assembly that is provided with the new stages cooling system TS ³ (Temperature Series Step System). The entire drive battery can be replaced by the Battery Charging Trailer within a very short time (< 5 minutes). The battery can be charged on board the rally-e MK1 by induction without cable (charging time <10 h). The installed safety battery cells has a Lithium-Nickel-Cobalt dioxide chemistry with very high storage density. The rally-e MK1 transmits with an online telemetry in real time its energy state to the energy providers charging network. So the MK1 knows at any time where his next power-loading facility is located and the MK1 adjusts automatically the maximum power output to reach the facility. This is APA (Automatique Power Adjustment). With the CCS - Competition Sound System rally-e makes no artificial sound but composes an acoustic emission based on body sound sensors, the battery power and the energy requirements of the drive train. This results in a spectrum that can be modulated from pleasant to aggressive. 07.02.2014 9 WP 40 – Battery Charging Trailer (BCT) Changing the drive battery is done on a trailer that carries the spare battery and is pulled by a service vehicle. The battery can be changed at every testing location. 07.02.2014 10 WP 50 and WP 70 – Testing and Dissemination 2014 Jan Feb March April May (Location Upper Austria) WP 50 – Testing cold und muddy (Location Building prototype car and Battery Charging Trailer 4.-6.7.2014 Rollout WP 50 – max. The project partners JSB, Stohl and LM will go ahead and beyond and offer the vehicle platform in small series production to bring the components and subsystems from Speed for SMEs and other funded projects to series production. The realisation starts in 2014. The business plans for the electric drive variants will be created together with the small series production of experimental parts for the automotive industry. The partners decided to create an special label for the components developed in rally-e: rally-e components will be a platform also for the customers of rally-e to sale their developed components belonging to e-mobility. 07.02.2014 12 rally-e Making the impossible possible Ing.
