Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service Songs for Junior Fire Safety Champions Original songs with actions and lyrics to help children learn about fire safety Guidance Booklet Songs for Junior Fire Safety Champions Songs for Junior Fire Safety Champions Introduction Introduction The aim of ‘Songs for Junior Fire Safety Champions’ is to effectively raise key fire safety messages with children in an engaging way through the medium of music. It is hoped that children will be encouraged to develop their fire safety learning and so long term this will reduce fires and fire related injuries. Five of the songs are original compositions and have been written with a ‘sing-along’ style arrangement making them easy for children to learn. Full vocal and karaoke versions of the songs are included together with lyrics on power point and lyrics ‘with actions’ sheets. The CD also contains four bonus tracks which have been written and performed by children from two Warwickshire Primary Schools; lyric sheets are included. ‘Songs for Junior Fire Safety Champions’ can be utilised for a variety of learning areas within the Primary curriculum and for classroom or a whole school setting in assemblies. Learning objectives for each of the five original songs are given together with suggested ideas for use in assemblies. Songs and lyrics are also on YouTube Reference: Songs for Junior Fire Safety Champions - Warks Enjoy singing the songs and please encourage all of the children at your school to become Junior Fire Safety Champions!
