Visitor’s Guide
A pproaching Elkader from any direction is a scenic drive.
Elkader is situated in a beautiful valley, along the banks
of the Turkey River, on Hwy 13 and Hwy 56 in Northeast
Iowa’s Clayton County. Elkader is the smallest town in Iowa
to possess an official Cultural and Entertainment District
and is associated with Main Street Iowa.
Downtown District is on National Registry of Historic Places.
