Grant Douglas Montgomery
(1958-2011)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Grant Montgomery on Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the
Crowsnest Pass at the age of 52 years.
Grant was born on January 11, 1959, to George and Rose Montgomery in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. He grew up
with his four siblings: Noreen, Rick, George, and Gerry.
Grant enjoyed dirt biking, camping and fishing and loved to sit and read a good book. He was a loving father to his
son Levon and time spent with him was always precious. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. May his
pain be over and that he be at peace.
He will be sadly missed by his son Levon Montgomery of Bellevue, Alberta; his brothers: Rick (Sue) Montgomery of
Calgary, AB; and George (Pat) Montgomery of Nanaimo, BC; his sisters: Noreen (Aurele) Bergeron of Calgary, AB; and Gerry (Brian) Platten of
Edmonton; his nieces and nephews: Mike, Mark, Michelle, Aron, Keely, Kari, Kris, Devon and Conner.
Grant was predeceased by his parents George and Rose Montgomery of Calgary, Alberta.
A “Celebration of Life” for the late Grant Montgomery will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at 3:00 pm at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel in Blairmore.

to be one of your top priorities. You are mechanically inclined
and can troubleshoot your way through a problem. You are
able to work with minimal supervision, are willing and able
to work alone as well as in a team environment, have strong
communications skills and are customer-service oriented.
