Speaker: Deb Gauldin RN, PMS
Professional speaker for over 20 years, National
Speaker’s Association distinguished member,
Debra Gauldin, RN has presented hundreds of
programs for professional healthcare conferences
worldwide. She has specific expertise in the study
and application of therapeutic humor and has
served on the boards of the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor and Positive Music
Association. An author and recording artist, Debra
collaborated with the College of DuPage (Glen
Ellyn, IL) in developing a variety of nursing education resources. She is a regular columnist for the
Journal of Perinatal Education and the Journal of
Nursing Jocularity. She is a contributing author in
Humor US: America’s Funniest Humorists on the
Power of Laughter, The Princess Principle: Women
Helping Women Discover Their Royal Spirit, and
Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives: The Story
of Nurses, published
by Sigma Theta Tau.
Her shoes and story
are included in the book
and traveling art exhibit,

Tell Their Stories by
Irene Stemler. Prior to
launching her speaking
and consulting business. Debra spent 20 years
as obstetric nurse and perinatal educator in the
Chicago area. She and her husband live amongst
the tall pines in Raleigh NC, and are exited to be
welcoming their first grandchild in June.
