The plant was built as a turnkey solution from design to construction by Hanwha and it was successfully completed in 2010. Hanwha Chemical built a 300,000-mtpy PVC plant in China and began operations in February 2011. It now serves as the global operating base for the rapidly growing Chinese PVC market. As a global photovoltaics player, the company has extensively expanded its production capacity, which today stands at 1.3GW for cells and 1.5GW for modules. Hanwha Life began sales in China in January 2013, working to improve the quality of financial services available through 3 offices and 197 bancassurance networks. Hanwha Corp. trades steel, petrochemicals, machinery, and a multitude of other goods and services through local subsidiaries in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and India. It has branches in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, the UAE, the Philippines, and Myanmar, and is now expanding in Southeast Asia.
