Because! the! problems! of! our! world! are! too! complicated! and! interconnected! to! solve! on! our! own,!and!we!rarely!have!the!chance!to!work!across!the!borders!that!keep!us!apart.!However,! by! engaging! in! crossOcultural! conversations! and! celebrating! our! similarities! and! differences,! Global!Nomads!can!break!down!these!walls,!and!work!together!to!make!positive!changes!in!our! communities.! Today,! there! are! over! one! million! Global! Nomads! in! more! than! 50! countries,! across!all!seven!continents…but!it’s!not!enough.!! ! Today,!as!part!of!the!Youth!TechCamp!program,!we!ask! you!to!join!them.!! WHO)ARE)GLOBAL)NOMADS?) Global)Nomads!believe!that!all! people,!in!all!countries,!from!all! cultures,!are!good.!The! misconceptions!that!we!are!raised! with,!taught!or!learned,!may!blind! us!to!think!otherwise.!! ! Youth( TechCamp! is! a! virtual! youth! exchange! program! that! connects! students! to! work! together! to! investigate! local!and!global!environmental!issues.!As!Global!Nomads! in! this! program,! your! class! or! group! of! students! will! be! paired!with!a!partner!class!in!another!country!during!the! school! year.! You! will! have! the! chance! to! truly! get! to! know! each! other.! Thinking! is! an! innovative,! human< centered! approach! to! designing! and! solving! complex! problems! that! emphasizes! doing,! trying,! and! reflecting! –! as! opposed! to! a! problem! solving! approach! which! focuses! on! talking! and! planning.!' ! Students! will! be! introduced! to! Design! Thinking! in! both! the! LEARN! and!
