It was almost inevitable that Ryan Schnitz would someday find himself competing in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle, at the pinnacle of the sport of motorcycle
drag racing. Born into a racing family and on motorcycles since childhood, he was running a seven second nitrous bike at age 17. And not just running, but
winning.
Rob Muzzy became aware of Ryan in 2000 and tapped him to ride the factory sponsored 600 Supersport bike for Kawasaki and Rob Muzzy Racing in AMA Prostar in 2001 which resulted in his first AMA Championship. Under contract to Rob Muzzy Racing, Schnitz helped develop various Muzzy race bikes including
the Kawasaki ZX-12 NHRA Pro Stock bike and garnered another Championship in the AMA 1000 Supersport class in 2004.
Racing a V-Twin was no problem for Ryan Schnitz and the Rob Muzzy Racing crew in 2005-2006. In 2005 the team took their first NHRA win at Columbus,
Ohio. Two more wins came at Denver and the NHRA finals at Pomona. This was the first full year for the team on the NHRA tour and they walked away with
the number 4 Plate.
The 2006 season was a rollercoaster year with the team heading to Gainesville without a sponsor. Trim-Tex
president and motorcycle drag racer Joe Koenig stepped up to sponsor the team. Schnitz followed up by
putting the Trim-Tex/Muzzy Buell in the winners circle at sponsor Trim-Tex’s hometown race in Chicago. He
finished the season with the number 7 Plate.
In 2007, Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. announced the return of Rob Muzzy to its professional motorcycle
racing efforts with Team Muzzy Kawasaki Trim-Tex. Schnitz will ride a Kawasaki Ninja® ZX™-14 sportbike
in the NHRA Pro Stock Bike class. He has ridden 400 hp turbocharged Pro Mods, Nitrous Shootout bikes,
Turbocharged Shootout bikes, Bracket bikes and Superbikes. Simply put, Schnitz is a rider, racer and winner
at heart.
Trim-Tex has been designing and producing the industry’s finest and most innovative line of vinyl drywall accessory products for over
30 years. Besides being economical, vinyl drywall accessories are more flexible and durable than metal and will not rust, kink or
dent. Trim-Tex coined the phrase “drywall art,” which accurately describes the adaptive use of materials and accessories to enhance
the standard flat and squared edged world of drywall. Drywall art can be found in a variety of forms, including decorative archways, rounded edges, and even reveal
effects such as shelves and stepped ceilings. Trim-Tex provides the products to make your creative ideas come to life, from free flowing walls and ceilings to multilayered effects and more. Design freedom is finally yours… “drywall art” is now a reality! Online at www.trim-tex.com.
