Round 2 of the 2010 AMA
Drag Racing Championship
The 19th Annual MTC Elmer Trett
Nationals is one of the most anticipated events of the season. With the
great local fan base of the Atlanta
area and super fast track of Atlanta
Dragway, the April 10-11 event is set
to be a great one.
As the drag racing arm of the
American Motorcyclist Association,
Dragbike brings to Atlanta the oldest
and most successful all motorcycle
drag racing series in the world. The
2010, eight-race tour will bring
thousands of bikes in 12 different
classes down the finest race tracks in
the world all to compete for purses
in excess of $450,000 with contingency postings of over $1.5M
AMA Dragbike’s feature class is
the 240 mile per hour blown nitro
burning Top Fuel bikes running the
quarter mile in 5.7 seconds. This
event also showcases the nitrous
breathing 200mph Pro Mod’s and
a million dollar
field of Pro Street
motorcycles. Fans
will see 500 of the
finest motorcycle racers and
machines in the
world.
The action
packed weekend
opens to the
public on Saturday, April 10th
at 9:00am with
Pro qualifying
action at 2:00pm,
34:00pm and
6:00pm. Racing action continues on
Sunday morning at noon with opening ceremonies and first round Top
Fuel action.

Elmer Trett was the
grandfather to Top
Fuel motorcycles who lost his life
ten years ago during an NHRA event
in Indianapolis in 1996.
Atlanta Dragway is an NHRA
motorsports facility located 60
miles north of downtown Atlanta off

AMA Dragbike is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and is the Drag Racing
division of the AMA (American
Motorcyclist Association). AMA
Dragbike has evolved over the
past 18 years to become the largest
motorcycle drag racing sanction in
the world. The organization holds
records and hosts riders for the
fastest (245.36 mph) and quickest
(5.799sec) motorcycles on asphalt.
