NIJ ‘06 Standards
What it means to have a gap between C2 and C1 TemplAte sizes
• Template sizes are used to determine what size range can be produced
for each model. The Manufacturer decides which templates to submit for
compliance testing.
• By submitting the C1 thru C5 we can produce any size panel.
• If C2 thru C5 is submitted, that model cannot be produced as a panel
smaller than 152 sq. inches (equivalent of a 34”girth)
• Very few officers require a C1 size template (25 in). However many officers
fall below the C2 template size. There is a 9”gap between the C1-C2.

LDSS Straps (Load Distributing Strapping System)
Survival Armor introduces its REVOLUTIONARY ballistic vest strapping system.
Through extensive research and field trials, Survival Armor has created a
strapping system like no other! Its patented ergonomically shaped shoulder
straps and reversible load distributing shaped side straps give the officer the
ultimate choice in comfort. IT’S LIKE WEARING NOTHING AT ALL!
The unique shape of our reversible load distributing
strapping system gives the officer added comfort
while holding the vest in its correct position.
This also provides the choice of either 2” or 4”
attachments to the front of the vest.
The reversible load distributing strapping system, when
pulled snug, elongates the REVOLUTIONARY shaped strap
to distribute the weight of the vest over the lumbar area.

Super Flex 3D Fabric
Survival Armor’s proprietary weave produces an innovative
high performance fabric. Using new technology with
proven ballistic fibers, Super-Flex offers superior strike
face performance over traditional weaves. This new
technology increases the performance of the vest by two
methods. One, it slows down the cutting and spinning of
the bullet. Two, it increases the speed at which the bullet
deforms and flattens out.
From box to body, this is the most comfortable
and softest vest I’ve worn. I couldn’t be happier.
