The Forbidden City:
Inside the Court of China's Emperors
Silver Reef + Skagit Valley
Casino Tour (USA)
The Vancouver Art Gallery hosts The Forbidden City:
“Inside the Court of China's Emperors” offers a
glimpse of an iconic and long-hidden era of Chinese
cultural history. For five centuries Chinese emperors
called the Forbidden City (1416–1911), located in the
heart of Beijing, their home. With only the emperor,
his imperial household and special visitors allowed
inside its walls, this immense palace captured the
world's attention for its power, wealth and mystery.
Selected from the vast collections of Beijing's Palace
Museum, the exhibition showcases nearly 200
precious works from the Forbidden City that have
rarely been seen outside of China. These exquisite
examples from Chinese cultural history date from as
early as 500 CE to the early-twentieth century and
include such treasures as paintings, ceramics, gold
and silver wares, jade, cloisonné, bronzes and textiles.
This fully escorted tour includes a top quality 11
course lunch to remember at local favorite Toko
Restaurant, admission to The Vancouver Art Gallery
The Forbidden City and optional public guided tour
and Hot Spot Highlighted Object talks.
Experience the excitement at two of Washington
State’s premiere casinos for 6 hours of gaming fun!
Includes a Seafood Buffet lunch and optional outlet
mall shopping. Travel down the I-5 to Silver Reef

NHL Hockey with your Vancouver Canucks vs the
Minnesota Wild at Rogers Arena. Treat yourself to a

Waffles and Eggs Benny to Roast Beef, Scalloped

guide who will share the rich cultural and natural
history of Hollyburn Ridge as you explore the snowy
mountain forest. We will make a one hour stop at the
rustic Hollyburn Lodge to enjoy lunch and a warm
drink. Take an hour of afternoon free time to sit on a

Chuckanut Drive Tour (USA)
All-U-Can-Eat Crab Cruise
Wildlife Safari Tour
Spend a day cruising ocean side on the scenic
Chuckanut Drive with views of the San Juan Islands
and Samish Bay. Dine at The Oyster Bar, take a
guided tour at the Pacific Northwest's largest shell
farm, Taylor Shellfish Farms, and explore the historic
town of Fairhaven's quaint shops, lively Wednesday
Public Market and waterfront boardwalk. Stop at
Chuckanut Drive viewpoints to learn about the rich
history of this scenic drive originally named
Waterfront Road in 1907 and sightsee the little town
of Edison. Valid passport, enhanced drivers
license, Nexus pass or enhanced BCID required.
Travel to Granville Island for the 6th Annual
All-u-can-Eat Dungeness Crab Feast and
Famous Houses Cruise aboard one of Accent
Cruises spacious yacht the Carousel ll. This 3
hour narrated sightseeing tour highlights the
many expansive homes on the West Vancouver
shoreline owned by the likes of Oprah Winfrey,
Bryan Adams and Wayne Gretzky. The Dungeness
Crab is steamed warm complete with crab
cracker, crab bib, cracking lesson, clarified
butter and freshly prepared seafood sauce.
This feast is catered by award winning Emelle's
Catering and includes wild mesclun greens
with sliced apples, craisins & crumbled feta,
roasted garlic & caramelized onion red nugget
potato salad, baked artisan rolls and spinach &
mushroom pasta in a sherry dijon cream sauce
with dessert – luscious lemon & blueberry tart.
After the cruise take an hour of free time to
explore Granville Island's shops, galleries, live
performing artists and public market.
Nature at its finest – Getting access to the “wild” side
of this province is not always easy, which is why a
Fraser River Safari is a great way to get up close and
personal to some of BC’s favourite wildlife. Wildlife
viewing has included bears, seals, herons, coyote,
deer, great white sturgeon, ducks and plenty of
eagles to name a few. The 22 passenger “Safari”
boat is a fully climate controlled vessel created with
both comfort and safety in mind. The fully enclosed,
compact design with large opening picture windows
makes it a perfect vessel to reach natures private
places inaccessible by larger boats. Touring in
September is spectacular, the river is alive with
wildlife activity and the natural backdrop of green
rivers, blue skies and snow capped mountains make
for a memorable experience. Finish the day at
Cascade Falls Park in Mission home to the brand
new suspension bridge and viewing platform. The
Cascade Falls Bridge, only the third suspension
bridge in the Lower Mainland, is just five metres
shorter than the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge but
