Adjustments to Address
Customer Feedback
Hurdman–Blair
2
Highlights
• Travel times will be reduced on eastbound express
routes to Orléans in the afternoon peak period
• Travel time will be reduced for some Route 101
customers
3
Customer Feedback
• Customers provided feedback after the service
adjustments made in June 2015 for the closure of the
Transitway between Hurdman and Blair Stations
• Based on this feedback and operational experience,
we have planned and implemented improvements
along the corridor, to begin in December 2015
4
Improving Afternoon Travel Time on
East-end Express Routes
• In the afternoon, express routes to Orléans will bypass
Blair Station, maintaining reliable service and quicker
travel times for customers:
– 5,000 customer-trips will benefit from travel time
savings estimated to be 3 to 4 minutes per trip
– 200 customer-trips travelling from Blair to Place
d’Orléans Stations in the afternoon will connect at
Jeanne d’Arc or Place d’Orléans Stations
– Combined service on Route 91, 95 and 104 from Blair
to Place d’Orléans Stations in the afternoon is
approximately every 2 minutes
5
Reducing Travel Times for Route 101
Customers to/from Orléans
• A new Route 103 will be introduced and will operate during
peak periods between Place d’Orléans and Bayshore
Stations:
– Replaces Route 101 trips to/from Orléans
– Provides service along Catherine and Carling
– Bypasses Hurdman Station in both directions and StLaurent Station on eastbound trips
– Will provide faster travel times for 250 customer-trips
per day:
• 5 minutes saved in the morning
• Up to 16 minutes saved in the afternoon
• Route 101 will continue to operate all day between StLaurent and Bayshore Stations
6
