The first weeks you will learn fundamental sewing skills that are applicable to all facets of sewing. This will include identifying how to use sewing tools, parts of the machine, pattern layout, cutting, construction and finishing techniques. The class will then choose and complete personal projects. Sewing machines and tools included. Students will be responsible for material cost of their personal project. This one day workshop will cover lighting, composition and camera set-up. The class will travel together to various outdoor locations throughout Sweetwater County giving students ample time and opportunity for practice and feedback. Students are required to bring their own DSLR camera and have some understanding of the camera functions. A sturdy tripod, different filters will greatly enhance the experience although not required. In this class we will create long exposure images that capture light as it moves through space. This club will meet 4 times per semester to read and discuss 3 books. The book club is devoted to life on the Rocky Mountains, in particular Wyoming. Trips and Events Archeological Dig Learn the basic tools and techniques of Archaeology with Dr. Dana L Pertermann as she leads you through a dig site in Fort Bridger. This will be a great trip to get your hands dirty and delve into the history of our area! Overnight camping will be required, and you will need to provide your own camping equipment.
