To respond to market trends just in time and satisfy
the customers, Booria is in a continuous endeavor to
develop its software products. Following this attitude,
Booria has released the Booria Carpet Designer 7.
Coming with dozens of new features and enhancments,
Booria Carpet Designer 7 is compatible with Windows
Seven (64-bit and 32-bit), Vista (64-bit and 32-bit)
and XP. This was a great step so that the customers
wouldn’t require commuting their OS to adapt Booria
Carpet Designer’s technical requirements.
Having an easy access to different sections is a main
key for any software program. Therefore, Booria developed a new GUI (Graphic User Interface) with Ribbon
Bar. At the mean time, users is allowed to switch between Classic menu and Ribbon Bar user interface.
The revelotionary 3D Carpet designing plug-in also is the key feature of new version 7.

3D carpet or better say variable pile height effect on a
carpet is a trend which market inquires nowadays for
this fashion based product more and more.
But there were bottle necks in this type of carpet
production due to complexities of designing and
production as below:
:: Smooth pile height increase is a key factor in
3D effect creation. So to prevent pile height
fluctuation, designers should do a huge effort to
design correctly to have it smoothly. This difficulty
creates the first problem.
:: 3D effect should be very clear and any pile height
toleration can emerged from the carpet design
and reduce the clearance of the effect.
:: The third problem was how this effect will look
on a carpet. Imagining the final product and how
the final product would look alike was another
problem. Dose it create a good appearance or
not? The imagination of this effect needs very
good brain stream to lead to a good design.
:: Finally how to produce this effect?
In case of Robotuft (hand-tuft robot), we should develop
a system to feed yarn to tufting needle in different
length as the tufting gun moves without any stoppages

or significant tufting speed reduction.
Booria with its bundle (Carpet Designer software and
hand-tuft robot) solved all these problems and this

Booria Carpet Designer Robotuft edition with 3D carpet

Robotuft plug-in
R
obotuft plug-in has one of the highest
priorities in software development of Booria.
This advanced plug-in developed dedicatedly
for preparing vector files ready to tuft on special tufting
robots. It presented to international market in 2008
during Domotex exhibition. This plug-in developed
according to customers’ inquiries and needs to be able
to design pixel based and have the ready to tuft file in
vector format. After preparing designs, ability to define
vector and filling type are the main characteristics of
this plug-in.

robot, aiming both the simulation and preview of the
design and data conversion so that hand-tuft robots
would be able to tuft 3D rugs and carpets.
By this new feature you can see the combination
of design and height information together to have
the better visulization of 3D designs.

espite world economic crisis
Booria decided to set up two
stands in Domotex 2010, 16-19
January, Hannover, Germany. One stand
like the past years among machine
made carpet section in hall 5 and one
new stand among handmade section in hall 21 to reach
its handmade potential customers more conveniently.
The 6th continuous participation of Booria at Domotex
was parallel to introduction of two new products: New
generation of Robotuft BR-II (hand-tuft robot) and 3D
carpet designing feature.
During this internationally well-known exhibition,

were presented to visitors who attend Booria stand.

costs. All these features gathered in Booria Robotuft
and Visitors from all around the world showed their
interests in this advanced products.
This year Robotuft was presented with significant
improved and added characteristics compared to last
year. Features such as Smart cut and loop forming
system, variable pile heights production system, new
advanced rigid construction were the main changes
made in the new generation of this hand-tuft robot.
