Chianti is one of the oldest wines in the world
and the ancient Etruscans tended their vineyards
here more than 700 years ago. Many small
grape farmers produce the area’s premier wine,
the ruby red Chianti Classico.
Beautifully restored and once again put to
original use, the Castello del Nero wine
cellar is an intimate and refined locale for a
private celebration or impromptu wine tasting
arranged by our Sommeliers.

Wedding Chapel
Fully restored to its former splendor, the
frescoed chapel has maintained its historic
charm and authentic feel. With magnificent
adjoining gardens that include a 400 year old
cedar tree and an abundance of antique
Florentine roses, the Castello’s chapel and
garden offer a superb venue for a private
ceremony and wedding reception.
Every last detail can be arranged by our
diligent staff.

from centuries past. Paint colours have been
identically matched to recreate the original
decoration of each suite, including hand painted
ceilings and family crests.
Light goose down duvets, soft bed linens and
cashmere blankets make for restful and
comfortable sleep.
