Bacaro Evening Menu - E
Bácaro is named after the bustling taverns of Venice, they are typically a great meeting place for friends. At a Bácaro guests enjoy an 'ombretta' (a glass of wine) with some 'cicheto'. Cicheto is derived from the Latin word 'ciccus' meaning 'littlest quantity', and Bácaro is derived from the word 'Bacchus' which is the God of wine and intoxication. A little information about our Menu and the format The pricing - Here at Bacaro we aim to take things back to basics, this is reflected right down to our pricing where you can see for example £2 ½ would be £2.50 Cicheti (Small Plates) - This section is akin to your selection of Starters, they are smaller items as reflected in the pricing. We have devised a menu that is designed to provide you with an opportunity to eat in a relaxed and informal manner but also to allow you to try and experience different things during your visit. As such we would recommend that you order a few items in order to maximise your experience of this Venetian style of eating. Le Pizze - All of our Pizza are homemade from the finest double-zero flour and stone-baked in our specialist Italian Pizza oven. Eating Venetian Style - The last three sections of the main course options titled Carni, Pesce and Contorni form part of a style of eating associated with the Bacaro bars tucked away on the back streets of Venice. Essentially it is similar to the Tapas concept that we relate to Spain, here you would choose a variety of dishes that would allow you to experience the different flavours of Italy.
