Business Meeting: 3 Tuesday of each month at Wyatt Johnson Toyota Dealership on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.…6:30 PM
Well here it is, almost summer, and time to get the cars out of the garage and go to a few car shows and cruise-ins. We
have had a great start to the cruise-in season with our first two monthly cruise-ins of the year.
I hope our club members can band together this year and try to make a lot of shows, Rod Runs, and other events
together. Hopefully we will have some really nice weather in the coming days, so we need to make the very best of it. If
you have any suggestions on locations for our rod runs, please let Frances know so she can check on arrangements.
Usually this time of year several places of business ask us about doing show n’ shines for them during the year, and
hopefully we can accommodate as many of them that ask us as possible.
Don’t forget, we need door prizes and trophy and plaque sponsorships for our car show coming up in September. It’s
better we get them early than to have to worry about them as time gets closer for the show. Plaque sponsorship is only
$35.00 per plaque, while Specialty Trophies are $50.00. If you would like to buy a sponsorship, simply contact Jim
Hutchens.
Our monthly Rod Run was to BJ’s Restaurant in Pleasant View, and to those who didn’t make it, you really missed some
good eating, including the best banana pudding I have ever put in my mouth ! If you left the place hungry, it was your own
fault.
Some interest has been expressed concerning our club having a swap meet in the future. This is something that
Clarksville never does, and I think we could have a successful meet and make the club quite a bit of money. Please think
about this and bring your ideas to the next club meeting on the third Tuesday in June. This gives us an additional way to
make the club money for our annual donations to the needy.
Remember those who are sick and unable to attend our meetings, as well as those who have recently lost loved ones.
Also don’t forget to hand out our club informational cards to people who you think may have a desire to join our club.
Thanks for the support you give me as your President, and I promise I will do the very best job I can for the club. Let’s all
pull together, and make this a big year for the club !
