EGNATIA ODOS S.A.
“EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” is a Société Anonyme, with the Greek State, the Ministry of Environment, Physical
Planning and Public Works, being the sole shareholder.
It is responsible for the design, management, supervision, construction, maintenance, operation and
exploitation of Egnatia Motorway and its vertical axis, which are the backbone of Northern Greece transport
system with a total length of 900 kms. It stretches from the Igoumenitsa Port in the Region of Epirus,
providing links by boat to Italy, to Greek-Turkish Borders. The Motorway is part of the Trans-European
Transportation Network and one of the 14 priority projects in the European Union.
Given its wide range of acquired experience and know-how, “EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” has also been involved in
construction management services in infrastructure projects in the Balkan countries. It currently manages
consultancy services contracts in Romania, Albania and Serbia, while it has already provided support to
FYROM.
It has been also assigned the responsibility of the Technical Secretariat for the realization of the Black Sea
Ring Highway, according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in April 2007, by the Ministers of
Foreign Affairs of the member states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
“EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” is an organization equipped with an excellent organisational structure, advanced
know-how, modern management tools, a long experience in cooperating with expert foreign construction
companies and International Organisations, and executive officers with expertise in the management of large
projects; these advantages render it an organisation fully competent of undertaking other projects and
construction management both in Greece and abroad.
Currently “EGNATIA ODOS S.A.” employs on a permanent or project basis more than 650 employees, and its
tangible assets for the year 2008 reached the amount of 600 million Euros.
