Key Fabrics
Symbols
Carton
Constructed from 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton, this fabric
guarantees high performance and maximum comfort. The
material is fully pre-shrunk, has superior dye retention, in fact all
the features you would expect from a modern workwear fabric.
Weight 300g, 245g and 210g.
Portwest’s exclusive Tradeguard fabric is made from 65% Polyester
/ 35% Cotton. Superior dyes ensure colour consistency from batch
to batch. The yarns are all ring-spun with long staple combed cotton
that produces the well-established benefits of strength, lustre,
handling and aesthetic appeal. It is fully pre-shrunk with each
garment providing warmth and protection in multiple working
environments. Weight 300g and 245g.
This indicates how many products are packed per
carton. All Portwest products are sold one size and one
colour per carton.
Retail Merchandised Bag
This packaging aids product presentation for retail
sales. All other styles are packed in flat-pack plastic
bags to keep items clean. All products have barcodes.

Trouser Hanger
All trouser styles can be packed with a hanger and
retail packaging for display in retail outlets. Ask the

Mobile Phone Pocket
Texpel is a durable, stain repellent finish which protects against
everyday spills without changing the feel or comfort of the fabric.
Liquids bead up and roll off the garment and spills can be quickly
cleaned up. It also makes the garment showerproof and is highly
breathable.
A mobile phone pocket is included in the garments
which carry this symbol.
Knee Pad Pockets
Many of Portwest’s products incorporate knee pad
pockets. These garments have been developed to carry
Portwest ergonomically designed knee pads.
Taped Seams
When put to the test, Cordura® resists tears and abrasions
like no other fabric of its kind. Ounce for ounce, Cordura® is more
durable than other fabrics. So regardless of your activities, you'll
benefit from the toughness of Cordura®.

BizTex® Microporous Fabric
BizTex® SMS Fabric
consists of a polypropylene substrate to
which a laminated microporous polyethlene
film is applied (PP/PE). The outer layer of
fabric prevents the passage of liquid
molecules inwards yet permits the vapour
molecules that build up inside to pass out.
This ensure that garment is breathable
therefore allowing the user to stay fresh and
comfortable. This fabric has the added feature
of having an anti static coating that provides
protection against electrostatic buildup. This
fabric is certified to the following standards:
