he Penrod Society is an all-volunteer, Indianapolis-based not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support arts, cultural, and educational activities and
institutions in Central Indiana. At its core, The Penrod Society is a brotherhood of
professionals who have, for half a century, tirelessly worked together for the betterment of Central Indiana.
Each year since its founding by a group of twenty-two young men in 1967, The
Penrod Society has hosted its signature Penrod Arts Fair to enhance public awareness of and showcase the arts. Since 2013, the Society has hosted its exclusive
preview event, Evening with Penrod at the IMA, on the night before the Fair. Over
its 50 years, The Penrod Society has distributed to the Central Indiana community
over $4 million in proceeds from these events.
The Penrod Society’s 2015 grants to the following Central Indiana organizations
