HANOVER OFFICE GRAND OPENING
May 5th marked the official grand opening of Wightman’s Fibre to the Home Office in Hanover. The
sun was out and temperatures were warm as the local community came out to visit and show
support at Wightman’s new office location. Several town officials and chamber members were in
attendance, as well as valued Wightman customers. The grand opening culminated with the official
ribbon cutting ceremony. (see photo)

CELEBRATING LOCAL BUSINESS: THE MINTO
BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS
The Minto Business Excellence Awards took
place at the Pike Lake Golf Club on May 12.
Wightman was honoured with the Business
Innovation Award for our Fibre to the Home
project in Harriston and Palmerston. Also
honoured was retired Wightman Telecom owner
Ray Wightman. Ray was awarded the first
annual Lifetime Achievement Award for his
outstanding contribution to Minto business and
his heart for community service. Ray’s son,
Executive Vice-President and owner, Blair
Wightman accepted the award
on his behalf. Wightman extends
sincere congratulations to all the
businesses in Minto who either
won awards or were nominated!
