AUTUMN/WINTER 2016 In 1865, John B. Stetson fashioned the hat that would become the symbol of American independence, individuality, integrity and strength. Today everything that carries the Stetson brand, from authentic Westernwear to rugged Actionwear to contemporary Streetwear and timeless classics, stays true to these American values: Make things right and the best they can be. We are proud of the durability and high quality of our products and have proven these characteristics for more than 150 years. Stetson x Kölner Haie Stetson is proud to present an all-star roster for Autumn/ Winter 2016 – winning styles inspired by the world of championship ice hockey. This breakaway collection features vintage sporting-themed hats & caps (sure to please the true hockey fan), warm trappers & knits that offer rugged defense against the elements, and trusted Stetson craftsmanship – making it the ultimate hat trick. Product highlights this season include a range of soft, collegiate-striped knits that look great on and off the ice. We’ve introduced some new hat shapes with bold contrast trim, and we’re offering a cool vintage spin on some of our favorite ivy and baseball caps and fedora styles. In order to keep this collection true to its roots, we’ve teamed up with the acclaimed Kölner Haie professional team to see what feels right and fits into the contemporary ice hockey lifestyle. Look out for some special “Stetson x Kölner Haie” collaborative product and get a glimpse at the real-life brawlers who helped keep us in the zone. A metal pin with a goalie mask identifies the collection. The lining takes up the motif of a scratched ice hockey rink. The hang tags consist of collector cards with player stats. A contest involving the Kölner Haie hockey team will also be held. Stetson Classics Stetson bring handwoven fabrics from Ireland, the legendary Harris Tweed and twills of America‘s oldest wool weaving company that accompanied the gold prospectors to Alaska. Flat and ivy caps in black-brown-blue combinations encounter ivory, rust, and bronze. Irish barleycorn tweeds achieve interesting effects in bronze/black and gray/blue. Donegal and bouclé ivy caps with cashmere or silk are available for a more refined look. Alpaca and mohair are woven into large checks in yellow/blue/beige for travelers. Glencheck and bouclé combine red with beige, olive and brown. Beginners will reach for ivy and newsboy caps, trilbies, and baseball caps made of Shetland wool or brushed twill: with colorful checks, leather visors, or herringbone. Corduroy and checks are combined in a baseball cap. New textures – crimped cotton velvet with metallic threads or shrunken twill - are in the coming as newsboy, ivy, and aviator caps, as well as trilbies. Waxed camouflage cotton will persuade you on every terrain. Colorful felt: Berry red, yellow-green, and mustard meet earth and wood tones, chocolate, navy, khaki, and gray. Ribbons emphasize or contrast; eye-catchers include zigzag stitching or nostalgic accordion pleats. Floppy hats for the ladies supplement unisex styles made of wool and hair felt. The diamond, trilby, homburger, porkpie, bowler, and player VitaFelt hats bear corded ribbons or leather ribbons with Indian heads. Traveler have a more oval crown. A rustic wool felt without decoration in trapper style simply captivates in dark-green, mud-brown, or black. Natural, pure cashmere as beanies or scarves: only one of the knit highlights. Soft, pure yak yarn in casual caps in brown and blue blends is also being introduced. Cable-knit beanies are presented in muted red, blue, or beige. Mouliné yard creates natural effects in yellow/beige, blue/gray, and black/white, while Donegal yarn expands the palette with gray/khaki and navy. Beige/blue cashmere is knit in a bird‘s eye design. Over-sized and folded caps have a merino pearl pattern or a soft, furry alpaca mix. Leather is interpreted in putty and brown tones as newsboy, ivy, and bomber caps. A vintage look-and-feel, embossed and shrunken surfaces set things in motion; merino lambskin or fake fur provide warmth. www.stetson-europe.com
