With 5 mountains and 1600 metres of vertical, exceptional
natural and artificial snow, La Clusaz is perfect for skiers of

The alpine area has much to offer: pistes, mogul fields,
snowpark, backcountry freestyle or freeride. For Nordic, two
areas (Beauregard and Les Confins) are locations for World
Cup cross country skiing in January 2013.

A skiing secret !
Nestled in a protected valley at the foot of the 2484 metres
L’Etale, the beautiful village of Manigod is perfect for those
looking for a wonderful nature-based, friendly, family escape.
The alpine areas, La Croix Fry and Merdassier and the nordic
area of Beauregard are connected to the slopes of La Clusaz.
Children, beginners and intermediate skiers love Manigod’s wide
sunny slopes.
First tracks on the doorstep of Aravis
Only 3 km from La Clusaz, Manigod and the Grand Bornand,
Saint-Jean de Sixt affords visitors a choice of ski areas
without the need for a car. Every half hour, the inter-resort ski
bus takes you straight to the foot of the slopes! A charming
village, Saint-Jean is also equipped with a lift and a rope tow
(the ideal introduction to skiing or boarding), 7 km of free
cross country ski trails, walking and snowshoeing trails.

11 champions, a record that makes Grand-Bornand the
best represented French resort this winter and for the
2nd consecutive year on the international ski circuit. In
alpine skiing, Tessa Worley (double medalist at the World

Winter sports like no other
At 1600 metres, Beauregard offers fine snow and traditional
pastimes: snowshoe and walking trails, dog sledding,
skijoering and snowmobiling. But the ancient Manigod sport
of Paret is like no other. The paret, the mythical wooden sled
with one blade
combines sport (includng a world championship) and good
humour which only the locals know the secret of.

Perfect for thrill seekers, Saint- Jean’s world exclusive Bun
J Ride combines ski jumping with bunjee jumping. In total
safety, held by two elastic cords attached to your harness,
launch yourself off a 28 metre ramp – either on skis, in a
sled, on a bike or running. A jump to remember.
Modern day heritage
With more than 400 200-year old chalets, the oldest dating
back to 1664, and 50 working farms make, Grand Bornand
the home of the Reblochon cheese farmer. A vibrant and

Two chairlifts and twice as fast
In La Clusaz, two new lifts open this winter 2012-13: a detachable 6-seater chairlift
on the Cret du Loup and a fixed 4-seater on the Mini Loup, which will become known
