To The Readers of Dispatches,
As we move into the second quarter of 2015 there are good things
happening at DVIC. Our first group of four disabled veterans has
completed their six-month education and training program and
three have begun work in the insurance industry. Following Patrick
Doran, who is now working with Hub International, David Drew
from Chicago has gone to work for Midwest Risk Advisors in Wausau,
Wisconsin. Shawn Kay, who has completed training in Fort Myers, is
now working with BB&T-Oswald Trippe and Co. here in Southwest
Florida and will transfer to the Miami office in the near future.
Each of these great young Americans has gotten off to a good
start as DVIC has helped kick-start their insurance careers. THAT IS
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED for these three great American heroes
who have served our Country and who now will continue to serve their fellow man by providing
insurance protection in time of need.
Trinity Bierley has decided to use the knowledge he gained during our education and training
program to help open his own business. We wish him the best with that endeavor.
We are also happy to report that we have identified four disabled veterans in the Fort Myers area
who are ready to start class in our next training program as soon as possible. These four veterans will
undergo the same education and training program here in Fort Myers led by The National Alliance
for Insurance Education and Research, and Lee Knapp Consultants as Trinity and Shawn did. We have
made minor modifications to our base training syllabus that proved to be a success with our first
group here. In addition, we are in discussions with other leading independent insurance agencies in
other parts of the Country to start training programs in other locations.
In order to start our next class and continue to expand our program, we need financial support to
train and compensate our veterans. Fund raisers will be an ongoing need for DVIC until we employ
enough veterans to sustain our operation by working under contract with leading independent
insurance agencies and insurance companies. Until that time, we need your help.
Won’t you please donate to DVIC so that we can continue our work to make sure that NO MAN OR
WOMAN IS LEFT BEHIND? Your donations can be made online at DVIC.US or by mailing a check made
payable to DVIC to 1275 Kasamada Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
Our great men and women need your support. We made a real difference for the first four disabled
veterans, so let’s keep the show on the road!

supporting education. The ideas of playing a part in helping faculty improve their
teaching skills resonated with me. It was an easy decision to make.”
