kurobuta
366-368 King’s Road
Talented ex Nobu Chef Scott Hallsworth burst onto the London restaurant
scene with his rock’n’roll sushi joint, and the UK’s first izakaya (Japanese
pub), Kurobuta. First popping up on the King’s Road last year, it was
followed by a permanent home at Marble Arch and now at 312 King’s Road.
And Scott’s a busy man – this year also saw the launch of his third restaurant,
Joe’s Oriental Diner, also on the King’s Road and he’s set to make an
appearance at the Wilderness Festival as well as publishing his first book.
Kurobuta Chelsea and Kurobuta Marble Arch offer lots of options for private
dining including a 14 seater tapped beer keg table, the 18 seater ‘Sticky
Beak’ private dining room and the KB Boom-Boom Room which hosts 40
seated, or 60 standing, with a full service bar. For more information, take a

261 King’s Road
Luxury pewter specialist, Royal
Selangor, celebrates its 130th
anniversary with the opening of its
UK flagship store at 261 King’s Road
and launch of the 8515 Anniversary
Collection. Established in Malaysia
in 1885, Royal Selangor is now a
global family business with stores
worldwide, located in over 20
countries. The King’s Road opening
will be the first time the brand has
been able to showcase the
complete breadth of product to its
UK audience. Paul Kennedy, Royal
Selangor’s UK retail manager
comments, ‘We wanted to launch
our first store in the UK in a
destination that reflects our brand’s
quality and heritage. The King’s
Road offers an impressive variety of
aspirational brands that share a
similar ethos to our own, together
with the cachet it holds as one of
London’s most significant retail
addresses.’ To celebrate 130 years
producing skillfully-made,
handcrafted, intricate pewter
designer homeware, barware,
ornamental décor and gifts, Royal
Selangor has created the 8515
Anniversary Collection. Featuring a
tankard, tea caddy, tea set (teapot,
teacups and tray) and photo frames
in three sizes, inspiration was drawn
from original Royal Selangor
artefacts, created over a century
ago, now housed at the Royal
Selangor Visitor Centre in Kuala
Lumpar. www.royalselangor.com.

brora
344 King’s Road
Brora is one of Britain’s best-loved
and most successful modern
cashmere brands. Since its
beginning in 1993 Brora has
steadily grown into a full-fledged
fashion label with its own distinctive
viewpoint – wearable, subtle but
highly individual, and mainly
British-made. Scottish cashmere is
still at Brora’s heart, but every
season the founder, sole owner, and
creative director Victoria Stapleton
creates an ever-growing range of
clothing to build a complete
wardrobe using only the finest
fabrics, such as tweed, silk, and
wool. Brora remains true to its
quirky, slightly vintage-inspired self,
while moving with the turn of
fashion’s wheel each season. For
further details call 020 7352 3697

C.P. Hart recently collaborated with
Homes & Gardens magazine to
identify the key bathroom trends for
2015. As Giles Kime, Executive
Editor of Homes & Gardens, says:
‘Bathroom design is on the move;
new styles, materials and
technology are offering more
opportunities to create bespoke,
luxury bathrooms than ever before.’
The guide can be picked up for free
at C.P. Hart Chelsea, or any of their
13 showrooms in and around

reflected in the displays at Chelsea,

Italian designers Karol, inspired by
Florence, and exquisite cut-glass
basins from Glass Designs. To make

guild
267 & 277 King’s Road
Following last year’s success, Tricia
Guild has invited florist Juliet Glaves
to return with her pop-up floral
installation, in their very own secret
garden. For the duration of the
Chelsea Flower Show this King’s
Road homestore and showroom will
be a joyful testament to the beauty
of flowers. Their garden has always
played host to garden furniture
collections and some of their
favourite pots and parasols, but for
one week this May, Juliet will
transform the space into a living
installation of abundant blooms,
taking her cue from the flowers in
Designers Guild’s famous fabrics
and wallpapers. The result will be a
celebration of all things floral.
