Jamaica is an island country situated in the Caribbean
Sea, comprising the third-largest island of the Greater
Antilles. The island, 10,990 square kilometres in area,
lies about 145 kilometres south of Cuba, and 191
kilometres west of Hispaniola, the island containing
the nation-states of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Jamaica is the fifth-largest island country in the
Caribbean. The indigenous people, the Taíno, called it
Xaymaca in Arawakan, meaning the "Land of Wood and
Water" or the "Land of Springs".

Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean.
Mountains, including the Blue Mountains, dominate the
inland. They are surrounded by a narrow coastal plain.
Chief towns and cities include the capital Kingston on
the south shore, Portmore, Spanish Town, Mandeville,
Ocho Ríos, Port Antonio, Negril, and Montego Bay on
the north shore.
Kingston Harbour is the seventh-largest natural harbour
in the world, which contributed to the city being
designated as the capital in 1872. Tourist attractions
include Dunn's River Falls in St. Ann, YS Falls in St.
Elizabeth, the Blue Lagoon in Portland. Port Royal was
the site of a major earthquake in 1692 that helped form
the island's Palisadoes.
The climate in Jamaica is tropical, with hot and humid
weather, although higher inland regions are more
temperate.Some regions on the south coast, such as the
Liguanea Plain and the Pedro Plains, are relatively dry
rain-shadow areas.

All foreign citizens travelling to and from Jamaica must
present a valid passport when leaving and or re-entering
their country. All visitors are required to travel with a
return ticket or onward ticket for entry into Jamaica.

1. What is included in the Use Fees?
Use Fees can apply to payments for reservations at Club Resorts, Affiliated Resorts and Travel Benefits. Within the
Travel Benefits, there are specific Use Fees for lodging, air and packages. Only Use Fees paid for packages include air;
when making a reservation at a Club Resort or at an Affiliated Resort, the airline tickets must be purchased separately.
2. Are the Use Fees included in the membership price?
No, the Use Fees are not included in the membesrhip price. As explained above, there are different Use Fees for Club
Resorts, Affiliated Resorts and Travel Benefits, which change according to the type of unit and/or season reserved.
Use Fees must be paid at the time of the reservation.
3. Can I pay the Use Fee with my points?
Use Fees must be paid in cash or credit card. SmartPoints cannot be exchanged for cash.
4. Can I pay the Use Fees directly at the resort?
Use Fees must be paid at the time of reservation either by credit card or bank transfer, this allows you to confirm
your reservation up to a year in advance of your travel date.
