Dedicated to Whole Food Nutrition Since 1929
Message From the President
Dear Doctor,
It is the unconditional love we receive from our pets that compels us to provide
the best care for them. For 80 years, Standard Process® has been committed to
developing nutritional supplements that help improve and enhance the quality
of health for people. Using the principles of our founder, Dr. Royal Lee, we also
deliver whole food nutrition specifically designed for pets with Standard Process
Veterinary Formulas.™
In the 1920s, Dr. Lee focused on developing whole food supplements for humans
because he saw an immediate need for a more natural approach to health care.
As veterinarians began to realize the benefits of whole food supplements, they
began to use Standard Process’ human products on their patients. With the
increasing interest in whole food supplements for animals, our customer profile
grew over the years to include many veterinarians. While the Standard Process
human products helped animals live better lives for many years, we realized that
there were differences between animal and human nutritional requirements
that needed to be addressed. This prompted us to develop a supplement line
specifically designed for animals.
As with all our products, our commitment to quality remains constant.
We control the quality of our products from the time seeds are planted on our
certified organic farmland until the final product is produced and distributed
from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. In doing so, we continuously
produce high-quality, nutritional whole food supplements that improve our
health and lives, as well as our pets’.
Standard Process is committed to you, the veterinarian, in much the same
way that you have dedicated your life to helping animals. We believe the best
health care comes from trained health care professionals. Since 1929, Standard
Process has maintained the principle of selling products only through health care
professionals. Following this principle, Standard Process Veterinary Formulas
are sold through veterinarians.
I hope you enjoy the health benefits that Standard Process Veterinary Formulas
will provide to your patients.
Yours in health,
Charles C. DuBois

Standard Process Veterinary Formulas provide dogs and cats with
the same high-quality nutritional supplementation that health care
professionals have come to know and expect from Standard Process
since 1929. Distributed through veterinarians, Veterinary Formulas
offer a broad range of maintenance and support for dogs and cats in
highly-palatable formulas.
Veterinary Formulas were developed specifically for dogs and cats by
Ron Carsten, D.V.M., M.S., a practitioner with extensive experience
using nutritional whole food supplements. Dr. Carsten combined
his practice experience with current clinical studies and published
research on nutrition with the time-honored, nutritional approaches
pioneered by Dr. Royal Lee, founder of Standard Process. He then
worked closely with the Standard Process New Product Development
team to hand-select every ingredient in each formula for its specific
metabolic properties.
What Makes Veterinary Formulas Unique
Each veterinary formula is a unique combination of whole foods,
Protomorphogen™ and Cytosol™ brand extracts, tissue concentrates,
and botanicals. Ingredient combinations were selected for their
physiological benefit and individualized for each species based
on specific factors associated with targeted organs, glands, and
other tissues.

Introduction to Veterinary Formulas
The Whole Food Philosophy
“The best sources of vitamins and minerals are found in whole foods” - Dr. Lee
Standard Process has been a leader in the field of nutritional supplements since 1929. The company is
committed to carrying out its whole food philosophy first introduced by its founder, Dr. Royal Lee. Dr. Lee
challenged common scientific beliefs by choosing a holistic approach of providing nutrients through whole
foods. His goal was to provide nutrients as they are found in nature–in a whole food state where he believed
their natural potency and efficacy would be realized. Dr. Lee believed that when nutrients remain intact and
are not split from their natural associated synergists–known and unknown–bioactivity is markedly enhanced
over isolated nutrients. Following this philosophy, small amounts of whole food concentrates will offer
enhanced nutritional support, compared to an isolated or fractionated vitamin. All of the Standard Process
Veterinary Formulas are built upon this paradigm.
We combine whole foods (whole plants, animal tissues, and botanicals), which contain essential vitamins,
phytonutrients, and minerals to provide optimal health for your patients.
Whole vitamin complexes are derived from plants like pea vine, beets, mushroom, buckwheat, and alfalfa.
Many ingredients are grown on Standard Process’ farmland and are then processed by state-of-the-art
manufacturing equipment that preserves the nutrients within the whole food. Quality control testing occurs
after each stage of production, and new products are continually developed to meet specific nutrition and
health needs.
Animal Tissues and Concentrates
Ancestors of dogs and cats consumed an unprocessed diet that derived many important cellular building
blocks from the organ meats of their prey. However, with domestication, dogs and cats have been forced to
consume a more omnivorous diet that usually emphasizes only muscle meats, ignoring the essential nutrients
unique to organs and glands. Also, as in the human diet, many commercial pet foods are highly processed
and may be lacking in important nutrients.
4
Protomorphogen™ Brand Extracts
Continuing the pioneering work of Dr. Royal Lee, all Standard Process Veterinary Formulas contain specific
Protomorphogen™ brand extracts. Protomorphogen™ brand extracts provide an important adjunct for
nutritional support of cellular function. In the 1940s, Dr. Royal Lee pioneered a unique method of deriving
extracts, which contain what he called cell determinants, from specific organs and glands for clinical use.
Dr. Lee believed that these cell determinants functioned in cell regulation, maintenance, and interaction with
tissue antibodies.
As described by Dr. Lee, Protomorphogen™ brand extracts play an important role in cellular support and
rehabilitation. They provide critical cell factors that help re-establish normal cell function. In addition to the
potential role in regulating metabolism, Protomorphogen™ brand extracts can be an essential component of
nutritional support of dysfunctional cells.
It is important to note that Protomorphogen™ extracts differ in manufacture and application from what are
commonly referred to as glandulars. Because these extracts have distinct clinical applications and effects,
they should not be confused with glandulars, nor should they be referred to simply as protomorphogens.
Protomorphogen™ is the trademark owned and used by Standard Process Inc. as a brand name assigned to
these uniquely-derived extracts. PMG™ is another trademark owned and used by Standard Process Inc. as
another brand name for these extracts, which is used when referring to a specific organ or gland.
Cytosol™ Brand Extracts
Cytosol™ brand extracts work synergistically with Protomorphogen™ extracts in the support of organs
and glands. Cytosol™ brand extracts are derived from the cytoplasm of selected organs and glands.
These extracts contain cellular factors such as enzymes, hormone precursors, and synergistic cofactors
that are the biochemical building blocks essential to cellular metabolism in their respective tissues.
Cytosolic components offer significant clinical benefits for the dog and cat.
Cytosol™ is the trademark owned and used by Standard Process Inc. as the brand name for these
uniquely-derived cytosolic extracts and should not be mistaken for or used in place of glandulars.
Whole Desiccates
Whole desiccates are glands that have been vacuum dried in our low-temperature, high-vacuum dryers,
providing the entire nutritional contents of the organ in a concentrated form.
Botanicals
Some of the tissue-supportive botanicals found in Standard Process Veterinary Formulas are Silybum
marianum, Withania somnifera, Eleutherococcus senticosus, and Boswellia serrata. Botanicals provide
important factors that contribute additional organ and glandular support by complementing the vitamins,
minerals, enzymes, and tissue concentrates found in foods. For example, silymarin found in Silybum
marianum has been shown to provide significant hepatic protection and support. The flexibility of Veterinary
Formulas also allows for additional supplementation with other individual supportive botanicals based on
patient needs.
Through the unique combination of whole food concentrates, Protomorphogen™ extracts,
Cytosol™ extracts, and botanicals, every Standard Process Veterinary Formula is
designed to provide specific nutritional support. Each formula can be used in
combination with other Standard Process Veterinary Formulas and whole food
supplements, or as otherwise directed by the veterinarian.
5
Introduction to Veterinary Formulas
The animal tissues in our products (Protomorphogen™ and Cytosol™ brand extracts and whole desiccates)
provide many essential nutritional compounds, including amino acid and enzyme complexes and essential
fatty acids to support the corresponding tissues in dogs and cats.
Using Our Formulas
Step-by-Step Plan for Using
Standard Process Veterinary Formulas
Identify primary health problem using appropriate diagnostics.
(physical examination, CBC/SMA/T4, urinalysis, imaging studies, etc.)
Identify metabolic systems involved.
(e.g. elevated ALT – liver primary, kidneys secondary)
Choose appropriate medical therapies as needed.
(e.g. anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, fluid therapy)
Choose appropriate Standard Process Veterinary Formula(s).
(e.g. Canine Hepatic Support or Feline Hepatic Support for primary liver support,
Canine Renal Support or Feline Renal Support for secondary kidney support.)
Schedule recheck examinations at 2- to 3-week intervals, as directed by attending veterinarian.
Repeat diagnostic procedures, as needed, to evaluate clinical response.
Standard Process Veterinary Formulas can be given along with conventional medical treatments. Length
of treatment period will be determined by patient response. Pet owners should be advised that nutritional
supplementation could be long term.
Adjunctive Products Combining Standard Process Veterinary Formulas With Other Products
Veterinary Formulas are designed to support a specific gland, organ, or body system. In some patients,
additional concentrated support is needed for related body tissues or specific physiologic processes. These
additional needs can be addressed by simultaneous use of one or more products listed in the adjunctive
products section in the product guide. Adjunctive products allow the practitioner to provide more specific
and targeted support to the patient. Product selection and combination are based on individual patient
needs. For example, a patient receiving Canine Thyroid Support can benefit from the addition of Canine
Whole Body Support for enhanced endocrine support. Some of the recommended products in the adjunctive
products’ section are part of the Standard Process human products line. If you are interested in more detailed
information on the Standard Process products, please request a Standard Process product guide from
Customer Service.

About Us
About Standard Process
Since 1929, Standard Process has provided health care professionals with high-quality, nutritional whole food
supplements. Our extensive collection of products supports the healthy functioning of every body system,
including the endocrine, cardiovascular, digestive, hepatic, respiratory, skeletal, and renal systems. The
vitamins, minerals, Protomorphogen and Cytosol extracts, and phytonutrients in our products support specific
tissues by providing many essential nutritional compounds, including amino acid complexes, digestive enzyme
complexes, and essential fatty acids.
We continually formulate new, synergistic whole food nutritional products to further address patient needs.
In 2001, we partnered with MediHerb® to provide health care professionals with superior herbal products.
In 2002, we added Standard Process Veterinary Formulas, which are specifically designed to provide optimal
nutritional support for dogs and cats.
In order to produce high-quality supplements, our products undergo a unique process. To ensure the
utmost quality, many of our raw materials are grown on company-owned, certified organic farmland and
then processed utilizing manufacturing techniques that preserve the nutrients within the raw materials. We
also monitor our raw materials throughout the entire manufacturing process using continuous quality control
testing.
Quality Control
Quality Is Our Tradition
Quality is an integral part of every step in our process. Our whole food
supplements meet and exceed the most demanding quality standards.
We follow current FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). These
GMPs are similar to pharmaceutical GMPs in many important respects.
They address everything from raw material handling and sampling through
the manufacturing process to finished goods and product labeling. We
control all of our manufacturing processes, including milling, mixing,
tableting, bottling, and packaging.
Our quality control methods ensure that all label claims are met. Tests are
performed after critical stages of production to ensure our products are
free of bacterial contamination.
Repeated testing throughout our manufacturing process enables us to
ensure quality and safety. On average, a product is tested six times. Every
week, degreed scientists in our full-scale microbiology and chemistry
laboratories perform as many as 400 tests on raw materials, product
batches, and finished products.
We use testing procedures approved by the Association of Analytical
Communities (AOAC).
Standard Process takes great pride in its quality assurance program. Our
team of trained microbiologists and chemists work hard to guarantee our
customers receive the best quality products on the market today.
Testing Stage One
Before anything is grown or processed at our local farm, we test the
mineral and nutrient levels in the soil. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides
are ever used in the organic growing process.
32
Testing Stage Three
Standard Process’ microbiologists perform bacterial testing on product batches to ensure the products are safe
to continue on to the next stage of production. Our chemists perform assays on product batches to determine
nutrient content. These assays guarantee that our label claims are accurate and that maximum nutrition is
being delivered.
Testing Stage Four
Many tests are performed after the tableting and capsuling process, including:
Physical Tests
• Tablets are monitored for size, weight, water activity, and hardness. Hardness testing ensures that tablets
remain intact throughout the packaging and shipping process.
•
Capsules are monitored for size, weight, and water activity.
•
Powders are monitored for water activity.
•
Weights of all products are verified to guarantee that label claims are met.
Microbiology Tests
• The microbiology laboratory monitors tablets, capsules, and powders for bacterial contamination before and
after the bottling process.
Certified Organic Farming
“Whole food nutrition begins with sun, water, and fertile soil.” – Dr. Royal Lee
Our founder, Dr. Lee, emphasized the importance of producing high-quality whole food supplements. We
are proud to be one of the few whole food supplement manufacturers that can assure quality ingredients and
continue this tradition by growing many of our raw materials locally and organically.
Quality Begins With
a Healthy Harvest
The Kettle Moraine basin of Wisconsin
contains nutrient-rich soil. It is here,
on company-owned, certified organic
farmland, that we grow strong, vital
plants for use in our whole food
supplements. We organically grow
the following crops regularly: alfalfa,
barley grass, beets, Brussels sprouts,
buckwheat, kidney beans, oats,
pea vine, and Spanish black radish.
Each year, we rotate the crops we
grow and adjust the acreage for each
crop based on the estimated needs
of the main production facility.
33
About Us
Testing Stage Two
Before the manufacturing process begins, scientists in our microbiology and chemistry laboratories sample and
test each and every raw material that will be used in our whole food supplements.
About Us
Organic Farming Methods
Nature has provided the foundation, and we use organic farming practices to ensure that the quality of our
farmland is maintained for years to come. In accordance with our certification, we follow strict organic
guidelines to grow our crops, keeping detailed records of our farming practices. Our farmland is monitored
annually by certifying agencies to ensure that only the highest quality farming practices are taking place.
Seeds
All of the seeds we use are untreated and GMO-free. We use certified organic seeds when available.
Irrigation
Irrigation water is supplied from a naturally-occurring artesian flowage over 500 feet below the farm’s surface.
Weed Control
Organic weed control standards are strictly adhered to at the Standard Process Farm. The main methods of
weed management include:
•
Cultivating
•
Mowing
•
Hand weeding
•
Cover crops–used for weed prevention and as a source of nitrogen and organic matter
•
Crop flamer–used to eliminate the last flush of weeds before vegetable emergence
New technology will allow us to continually improve our weed-management efforts.
Eco-sensitive Processing
The majority of biodegradable by-products produced during manufacturing are returned to the fields in a
monitored, land-spreading program. By doing this, we keep unnecessary wastes out of landfills and put
natural nutrition back into the soil to be utilized by crops in the following years.
Environmental Buffers
Our farm is surrounded on all sides by environmental buffers to minimize the impact of non-agricultural land
and chemical inputs from traditional farming practices.
34
Dr. Royal Lee, founder of Standard Process, said, “Whole foods are the best natural source of vitamins.
The key to the highest quality is the manufacturing process.” At Standard Process, we are involved from
the moment a seed is planted through shipping the finished product to your door.
Because preserving the whole food complex is a top priority when manufacturing our supplements, we
carefully follow time-proven formulas based on Dr. Lee’s philosophies to manufacture our whole food
supplements. Our manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished product, takes an average of
six weeks. Throughout the process, raw materials are handled in a carefully-controlled environment
and continually tested for quality.
Exclusive Manufacturing Processes
In order to produce the highest quality whole food supplements, Standard Process utilizes Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) which were drafted by the FDA specifically for the dietary supplement
industry. Each process is precision engineered to preserve the nutrients of the raw materials.
Grinding
Immediately after harvest, whole foods grown on our
certified organic farmland, such as Brussels sprouts and
carrots, are ground for further processing.
Juice Extraction
To capture the nutrients from raw materials (such as
buckwheat, alfalfa, and pea vine), the juice is pressed
from the plants and separated from the pulp. The result
is a concentrated product containing both fat- and watersoluble nutrients.
Separation Process
Selected animal tissues used to make our Protomorphogen™ and
Cytosol™ extracts are ground to create a liquid slurry. The slurry is
subjected to our exclusive multistep separation methods. Animal
tissues are obtained exclusively from USDA-certified facilities.
Low-Temperature, High-Vacuum Dryers
Raw materials are slowly dried in low-temperature, high-vacuum
dryers to preserve their nutrients.
Mixing
Dried materials are measured and mixed with the utmost precision
following GMPs. Because of the variability in sources of natural and
organic ingredients, color and odor may vary from batch to batch.
This has a negligible effect on palatability for animals. The basic
formula remains constant, and quality is ensured by repeat testing.
Binding
Only natural binding ingredients, such as honey and arabic gum, are used in our tablet manufacturing process.
Cellulose is often used to give body to the powders. Calcium stearate, derived from vegetable sources, is used
as a lubricant in our tablet machines. No artificial flavoring is ever used.
35
About Us
Manufacturing
About Us
Forms of Delivery
Powders - Canine Formulas
Our canine formulas are available in a highly-palatable powder, which makes mixing
the powder with any quality dog food easy. In order to fill our powder formulas,
Standard Process uses a volumetric filler. This system achieves very accurate fills
and provides a highly-consistent product from batch to batch.
Tablets - Feline Formulas
Our feline formulas are available in an easy-to-administer tablet. The tablet presses
used by Standard Process allow for high-volume production without sacrificing
quality control in the manufacturing process. All of our finished tablets are routinely
analyzed for content to ensure that label claims are accurate.
Packaging
The veterinary products are sealed in green glass bottles. The color of the glass
helps protect the food’s nutrients from damaging light, while the sealed bottle helps
prevent product oxidation. Induction lids and bottleneck seals protect against
product tampering. The bottled product is then labeled and packaged in cardboard
boxes for easy storage, protection, and shipping. For ease of dispensing, a J or a H
teaspoon has been added to each box of the powdered canine formula.
Research & Development
Clinical Evaluation
Dr. Royal Lee believed in the value of scientifically-researched nutritional whole food supplements. He field
tested his unique nutritional supplements and endorsed and supported clinical evaluations of them by others.
Input from health care professionals enabled him to enhance and perfect the health benefits of Standard
Process products.
Standard Process Veterinary Formulas were evaluated in a multicenter clinical trial. Individual products were
administered to patients for durations ranging from three months to over 20 months. In addition to assessing
the patient response to these products, factors such as palatability, ease of administration, client satisfaction,
and occurrence of side effects were evaluated. Utilization of these products in the clinical setting was critical
for their development. We are proud to continue Dr. Lee’s tradition of research excellence. With ongoing
clinical trials, Standard Process continues to develop, refine, and perfect nutritional supplement products.
In addition to clinical evaluation, Standard Process relies on continual communication with practitioners.
This essential component in producing our veterinary formulas ensures that we are developing practical
solutions for the difficult clinical challenges that veterinarians face.
Research and Development at Standard Process
Standard Process is dedicated to continuing Dr. Lee’s research and development practices by applying the
latest technology and expertise to his founding principles. We combine the evaluation of current scientific
research and Dr. Lee’s insights and teachings with applied clinical research. Our Research & Development
department consists of skilled, professionally-trained, degreed scientists who look to provide a solid scientific
basis for the safe and effective use of high quality supplements, herbs, and other natural products for health
care professionals.
36
Biological Research
Basic biological research is utilized to identify and quantify key chemical markers within whole food
ingredients and analyze them throughout the manufacturing process. Using plants grown in experimental
test plots at our farm, our scientists determine which plant varieties will survive and grow in our climate and
then harvest to maximize nutrient content. Further experiments document the biological activity of individual
ingredients and finished products in cell culture systems. The biological research that is performed in our
Research & Development department assures us that the nutritional integrity and maximum synergistic capacity
of the final product is maintained.
Clinical Research
Clinical research is committed to support research on whole
foods and whole food-derived dietary supplements. We are
also dedicated to providing quality educational materials to help
practitioners document the effect of dietary supplements in their
patients. To meet this challenge, clinical research has committed
funding to support scientists investigating whole food nutritional
research in an annual pilot clinical research program. Clinical
research has also developed educational materials to help the
clinician document the efficacy of Standard Process products.
Outcomes Research
Outcomes research encompasses population health research and
scientific communication. Outcomes research synthesizes results
from studies performed by external researchers that support whole
food philosophy. The documentation is intended to provide our
clinicians with the tools they need to more effectively use nutrition
and supplements in addressing their patient health challenges.
This research supports the biological and clinical research by
helping to identify objective health risk biomarkers that can be
used with health outcomes in response to supplements and/or diet.
Scientific communication provides clinicians with the best available
scientific evidence regarding nutrition and the health of their
patients.
The Standard Process Research & Development department works to provide health care professionals with
a solid scientific basis for the safe and effective use of high-quality whole food supplements, herbs, and
other natural products so that we can meet our mission of providing the safest, most effective, highest
quality products.
37
About Us
Types of Research
Our scientists’ goal is to gain a detailed understanding of the underlying biochemical components,
physiological activities, and population health applications of whole food supplements. Our scientists meet
this goal by performing biological, clinical, and outcomes research.
Reading Labels
Reading Labels and the Best Used By Code
Reading Labels
The supplement facts panel provides a unique challenge for nutritional whole food supplements. The health
benefits are derived from the rich complexity of the nutritional factors as they are found in food. In addition
to the nutrients being present in whole vitamin complexes associated with their cofactors, there is a synergism
that occurs between nutrients; this synergism provides a benefit far beyond that expected from the small
amount listed on the label. That is why avid label readers looking for elevated amounts of certain vitamins or
minerals will not find them when they examine Standard Process’ labels. In other words, instead of providing
large doses of fractionated and isolated vitamins or minerals, we choose a more vital approach. Our founder,
Dr. Lee, reasoned that only nutrients kept within their natural and complete form, albeit concentrated, could
effectively fill any nutritional gap. In making all Standard Process products, we fulfill our founder’s goal–to
harness nutrients as they are found in their complete natural matrix, that is, in a whole food state where their
potency and efficacy are realized.
In addition, Standard Process Veterinary Formulas contain ingredients from bovine, ovine, and porcine tissues
(such as the adrenal gland, liver, kidney, and spleen). While it is these tissues that are listed on the labels,
it is the known and unknown substances contained in the tissues that provide nutrients and support for the
corresponding tissues in the dog and cat.
All ingredients listed on the label are listed in descending order by weight/volume.
How to Read the Best Used By Information
The Best Used By Information, located on all product boxes and on the neck of all product bottles, represents
the date by which the product is best used by and the product code.
For example:
Best Used By
Date
10-09 L819
Product Code
The Best Used By date should not be viewed as an expiration date, but as a guideline for when products are
considered 100% potent. The products tend to lose potency over time but may still be considered effective
after this date. In this example, the month and year the product is best used by is October 2009.
Product code numbers are used to determine when products are produced.
In the above example, the product code is L819.
L - The lot number
8 - The last number of the year it was produced (8 = Year 2008)
1 - The batch number
9 - The month it was produced (9 = September)

Protomorphogen™ Extract – In the 1940s, Dr. Royal
Lee pioneered a unique method of deriving extracts
which contain what he called cell determinants from
specific organs and glands for clinical use; He believed
that these cell determinants functioned in cell regulation,
maintenance, and interaction with tissue antibodies; It is
clear both from the description of the extraction process
and clinical use that these extracts differ from what is
commonly referred to as glandulars; furthermore, because
these extracts have a distinct clinical application and effect,
they should not be confused with glandulars, nor should
they be referred to simply as protomorphogens; rather,
Protomorphogen™ is the trademark owned and used by
Standard Process Inc., as a brand name assigned to these
uniquely-derived extracts; PMG™ is another trademark
owned and used by Standard Process Inc. as another brand
name for these extracts.
High Selenium Yeast – A rich source of selenium;
Selenium is an essential trace element that has antioxidant
activity mediated through its role in the formation and
function of selenium-dependent glutathione peroxidases; It
is also believed to help maintain a healthy heart and joints.
Inositol – A component of the B vitamin complex; It acts
as an important catalyst in energy reactions that involve the
metabolizing of some fats and carbohydrates.
Iron Chelate – Provides an excellent source of iron; Iron
is an important nutrient essential for a wide range of vital
biological processes including the synthesis of hemoglobin
and it is also involved in the entire process of respiration
including oxygen transport and electron transport.
Kelp – Seaweed; A good source of trace minerals.
L-carnitine – Carnitine is required for transporting longchain fatty acids into the cells, which is essential to the
conversion of fatty acids into energy for the cells, especially
in heart muscle.
Rhizopus oryzae – A mold grown on Tillandsia usneoides
and beet root as a source of enzymes.
Ribonucleic Acid – Nucleic acid occurring in cell
cytoplasm and the nucleolus, first isolated in plants but
later found in animal cells.
L-glutamine – An important, conditionally essential
amino acid that is normally abundant in the body but
cannot always be synthesized in sufficient quantities to
meet metabolic demand; It has widespread physiological
benefits.
Silybum marianum (Milk Thistle) – Contains
flavanolignans (collectively known as silymarin), which
are some of the most potent liver-protecting substances
known; Stabilizes liver cell membrane against injury,
regulates its permeability, assists in cellular regeneration,
and scavenges for free radicals.
