Todd Sampson,
CEO, Leo Burnett Australia
Todd is the CEO of Leo Burnett,
Australia. His company is now ranked
as the 7th most creative company in
the world. He is the co-creator of the
Earth Hour initiative, which was the
largest environmental movement in
history. The Financial Review and News
Limited ranked him as one of the most
influential executives in Australia. He
sits on the Board of Directors of both Fairfax and Qantas.
He is also the breakout star of the hit ABC show the Gruen Planet
and a co-host on the Channel 10 news show, The Project. Todd is
also the writer, producer and host of a Discovery Science
documentary series called Redesign My Brain, which won
Documentary of the Year.
Outside of work, Todd enjoys mountaineering and has climbed to
the top of Mount Everest unguided.
Trent ‘Maxi’ Maxwell and
Jesse Polock, Bondi Rescue
Maxi, AKA Trent Maxwell, of
Maroubra Beach, has been
lifeguarding for the last five
years. He is one of the most
popular lifeguards on
Channel 10’s Bondi Rescue
and his popularity saw him
claim the coveted CLEO
Bachelor of the Year title in
2013. Maxi is passionate about raising awareness of youth mental
health and inspiring young adults to follow their passion.
Jesse has always been around the water and as a popular Bondi
Rescue Lifeguard since he joined the show in 2011, there is not a
better job to suit his lifestyle. Jesse is passionate about helping
others, and as a result of witnessing several suicides as part of
their role as Bondi Lifeguards, Jesse and Maxi embarked on The
Ride East Coast in September 2013 and rode jet skis from Sydney
to Cairns, stopping into Headspace centres along the way to talk
about mental health and suicide prevention. They have also
launched their own business Ocean Men which focuses on
teaching young kids the skills that we have in the water, from
doing jet ski lessons and surf lessons to private lifeguarding and
surf safety talks.
