Hello Panther Fans! Here is an update on the renovation
10-18-13 @ 7:00PM—Reedsville vs. St. Mary Central @ Reedsville High
process to our Field of Dreams Project! As you can see we
School
accomplished a lot since last year with the entire community
chipping in to help! New fencing was put up this spring
along with professional foul poles and we rebuilt the mound and laid down new sod. The new fence also came
equipped with poly cap protection to keep our players safe. In the end we even had enough poly cap to put on the
softball and little league diamonds for our youth teams! These are all great upgrades to our facilities however we are
not done yet! We still would like to upgrade our seating, put in a warning track and add a new batting cage. We also
have plans to finish our fence and add a brick memorial gate for fans to enter the field as we will finally get to host a
sectional competition. We are over half way to our goal but we still need your help. Last
year 13 area businesses were featured on our fence in grand fashion with 4x6 sponsorship
signs seen by 8 different high schools, and over 20 different little league teams and fans. If

pressure. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to
Stop Hypertension. This diet plan offers a basic,
healthy eating plan filled with fruits and vegetables,
whole grains, nuts, legumes, low-fat dairy products and
fatty fish such as salmon.
Having an occasional alcoholic drink may lower blood pressure temporarily, but excessive alcohol consumption contributes to hypertension. Moderation is key.
What about exercise? A new study found that aerobic exercise, strength training and
even isometric handgrip exercises all reduce systolic (the higher number) blood pressure numbers by two to 10 points.
Taking your blood pressure on a regular basis will let you know how you are doing. A
digital blood pressure cuff is easier to manage than a manual cuff. Digital cuffs cost
from $25 to more than $100, depending on the features.
Blood pressure numbers lower than 120/80 are considered a normal,
healthy reading. Higher numbers (up to 139/80) suggest prehypertension.
A reading of 140/90 signals hypertension, which could progress to
160/100 or even higher, if left untreated.
If your blood pressure reading is consistently above normal, please contact your health care provider for advice and possible treatment.
