Personal Statement
I am a sociable, approachable person who enjoys current affairs and reading. I enjoy experiencing
new cultures and meeting new people. I have travelled extensively around Asia, Argentina and
Brazil. My ambition is to be a General Manager of a hotel.
Letter of Motivation Design
I spend all my money buying clothes and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Everyone says I am the best dressed. I often spend my weekends
looking the window designs of the different design shops here in
Bangkok. In IGCSE Art I have learned a great deal about tone,
colur and I have begun to design my own clothing. I was pleased
that my scarf design was chosen by the German Embassy to be
added to their recent fashion show. My favourite fashion designer
is John Galliano due to his use of religious imagery along with
styling imagery from the French Revolution. In my drawings and
designs I like to use scenes from Thailand such as elephants and
noodle shops. I have a personal tutor for Art and she is helping me
develop my creative free-hand drawing skills. I want to do design
because I have math and science. I would would work hard.

 Step One: Decide on what social and academic criteria
are important to you and use those criteria to evaluate
each university and the university course.
 Step Two: Keep detailed notes about what you learn as
you do your research for each university/course for each
criteria. This way you don’t lose track about what you
have learned about a particular university.
 Choosing a university is a very personal decision. There

university for each student. Careful planning is the key
