The Swan Hotel is located in the picturesque village of Bibury - once described by William Morris as "the most
beautiful village in England". Sitting proud on the banks of the River Coln, The Swan Hotel is everything you picture it
to be - welcoming, stylish and Romantically English. We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service, in a
beautiful building where the character flows throughout with open fireplaces, cosy lounges and elegant design - a
contemporary twist on classic Cotswolds.
Our dedicated wedding co-ordinator, Charlotte, can help you plan a small, intimate affair that is truly memorable
through to a traditional white wedding for over one hundred guests, and on your special day, our talented team of
staff will help take the stress off your shoulders, so all that’s left for you to do is live the dream of your wedding day
without a care in the world.

Your Wedding Ceremony
You can choose to hold your civil wedding or partnership ceremony in one of three beautiful areas of The Swan
Hotel. The Library is perfect for smaller weddings and is licensed for up to 26 guests - perfect for an intimate
wedding with your closest family and friends.
The Signet Room is situated at the front of the hotel overlooking the hotel gardens and is an elegant setting for
wedding and partnership ceremonies up to 100 guests.
Alternatively, the Summer House, offers a, idyllic picture perfect setting for an alfresco ceremony up to 100
guests.
On the basis that you are holding your wedding breakfast with us the following room hire charges apply:

Next you will need to contact the Superintendent Registrar who will be able to advise you on the legal details of
your wedding and will conduct the ceremony. You can contact by telephone - 01452 532455 or gain further

Your Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception
Depending on how many guests you are inviting, we can hold your wedding breakfast in one of three rooms.
The Coln Room - ideal for a private celebration for up to 8 people
The Library - A lovely bright room at the front of the hotel that is perfect for smaller celebrations up to 26 people.
The Signet Room - beautifully elegant, stylish and contemporary. The signet room can comfortably accommodate up to 110 guests.
On the following pages you will be able to see our Wedding Breakfast Menu suggestions, whether it be canapés, a buffet or a traditional
sit down meal, should you not find exactly what you are looking for our Head Chef will be only too happy to discuss details and produce a
menu tailored to yourselves. You will also find some great suggestions for evening party buffets and light bite ideas to keep the party
going.
We have also created a selection of drinks packages which include welcome reception drinks, wine to compliment your chosen meal and a
glass of fizz to toast the happy Bride and Groom. We do not offer corkage at the Swan Hotel but would be happy to discuss your
preferences and tailor make a drinks package just for you.
The Swan Hotel is an ideal choice for you to continue your celebrations into the evening possibly with a DJ or live band - there is plenty of
room for both music and dancing . If you choose to have entertainment in the evening we do require you to take ten bedrooms on the night
of the wedding at a specially reduced rate.
Bedrooms
With 22 beautifully designed bedrooms and suites, there’s no need for carriages at midnight, or even the next
day - you can even make a weekend of it! You and your guests can enjoy the run up and relax the day after with
plenty of cosy sofas to sink into, next to crackling log fires, or a beautiful walled garden to amble around come
the summer months.
If you are planning to have music on the night of your wedding we do request that you and your guests occupy 10
bedrooms which we can offer you at our specially reduced wedding rate.
Each bedroom has been Individually designed and been enriched by a collection of sumptuous antique
furnishings and contemporary fabrics and wallpapers, which form their unique character. With magnificent four
posters in some, a Jacuzzi in another, others have views overlooking the gardens and the River Coln.
Our idyllic Garden Cottage Suites have their own separate sitting room and private garden, one with a
kitchenette area, one with log fire and one with its very own hot tub. We’ve gone all out to ensure you have a
comfortable stay at The Swan. The Nespresso machines in the bedrooms and the Molton Brown products in the
bathrooms will help with that.

Booking Your Wedding
A provisional booking can be held for 21 days to enable you to co-ordinate other wedding details, which may affect your
chosen date. Then:

To secure your booking a signed copy of your contract is required within 4 weeks,together with a non-refundable
deposit of £500.00. For any bedroom bookings a non-refundable deposit of £40.00 per room per night is required.

All bookings require 25% of the total estimated wedding cost to be paid no later than 8 weeks after the deposit in
order to confirm the booking. This payment is non-refundable and is not transferable.

Sixteen weeks prior to the wedding day, 50% of the estimated balance will be due.

Six weeks prior to the wedding day, the remaining balance for the meal, beverages and any additional agreed costs
must be paid.

We will wish to receive final numbers six weeks prior to the event.

Settlement of any extras incurred on the day must be paid upon departure.
Prices are correct at the time of booking but may be subject to change without notice. All of our prices are inclusive of
VAT at the current rate.
Our Cancellation Charges
We realise that unforeseen circumstances can arise and you may have to cancel your wedding with us. Although we
understand this, we will make a cancellation charge because of the high demand for wedding dates. Details of the
cancellation charge are shown in our wedding contract. We recommended that you take out wedding insurance to cover
any unforeseen events.
