2012- 2013
Registration
We will begin registration for the 2012-2013 school year on April 27th. We will follow our normal
registration day festivities. You may sign in on your respective list: teacher (head teachers of co-op
classes), co-teacher/helper, or returning member sheet (this sheet is for those who do not have a
teacher/helper position at co-op or does not participate in co-op). You may turn in your completed
paperwork (church school enrollment form for each child and student information sheet) and
tuition to the office helpers and go to class as usual. You also need to be up-to-date on your progress
reports AND have taken care of any outstanding fees (cleaning fees, late progress report fees, co-op
fees, etc.) before registration. We will either have a receipt at the end of co-op or will mail it to you.
Remember, the order you sign in with your completed paper work and payment is the order you
register for co-op classes. Since we do not pay our teachers, we give them first choice of classes as a
thank you followed by the co-teachers/helpers. We also give a discount on tuition to these teachers
and co-teachers/helpers. If you faithfully taught this year, remember to deduct the following from
your tuition:
For each class you were the head teacher, subtract $10. For each class you were a co-teacher,
subtract $5. The maximum can only be $30 off.
When you fill out your new Student Information Sheet, please state your discount and the classes
you taught/co-taught for our records. If you have questions about how your MHCS job is considered,
just email us and we will work it out. New forms will be available soon. We will strive to have copies
out at co-op in the upcoming weeks. You may also print these from the Handbook online at our
website. Our tuition price list is also available online as well. If you have friends/family interested in
MHCS, please let them know to call starting April 27th at 8 am to be placed on the wait list. We will
not start the waiting list until 8 am on April 27th. Those who call or e-mail before this time will
NOT be added to the list. Please make sure that your friends know that we will be extremely busy
on this day. If the phone is busy, please keep calling back.
Used Book Sale
MHCS will have a used book sale on Friday, April 27th, during registration.
We will set up tables in the gym area. Set up time will be from 7:15 am - 7:50 am.
Sale will start at 8 am and will end at 4 pm. Please have all items removed by
4:30 pm.
If you want to have a table at the sale, email or call the MHCS office to reserve
your table - please include number of tables needed.
Also, non-MHCS members may sell (no table fee) or shop.
REMEMBER: Each seller is responsible for their own table and money. This
includes change. If you do not have a lot of items, we suggest you buddy up with another
mom. Keep in mind that this will be a very busy day. You are more that welcome to use
the honor system which many use on regular Fridays. If you do this, be certain to leave a
large envelope on your table for people to drop your money in. You may also want to put a
sign up if you are willing to take personal checks. Be sure to list your full name so they will
know who to make the check out to. MHCS will not be liable for lost or stolen goods. YEARBOOK UPCOMING

Co-op Cleaning Schedule for April
and May
We will have a check off sheet of areas that will need attention
and what specifically needs to be done in those areas in
the MHCS office on the Friday you are scheduled to clean. We
will send out reminder postcards the week you are scheduled to
clean.
If you cannot clean on your scheduled day, it will be your
responsibility to trade with another family. If you fail to clean
(or have someone clean for you) when you are scheduled, you
will receive a $25 cleaning bill. Each teacher is responsible for
cleaning up their classroom after each class and at the end of
the day.

- FYI We had a young man come in asking if we had an mp3 player turned in to the office. We
had not. Earlier in the year, a cell phone was left in a class and the student went back
to get it and it was gone. Usually when items such as these are found, they are brought
and kept in the office. They are not put in the lost and found bucket. Please, if you see
items of value such as these or others bring them to the office. It remains a mystery as
to where this phone and mp3 player are and frankly it is a little sad to think someone
may have found them and not turned them in to the office. I guess that is the time when
we have to think...what if it were ours. I know I have walked off for a second and
thought well hey, I am among friends and just assume my things will be ok. I would
hope that we would all respect other's belongings as our own or even more.
