Main Functions of Product

Disk copying
It supports copying of the entire content of the source disk accurately and quickly onto another disk.

Disk choosing
It provides a function to choose a disk for copying in case of many disks linked.

Partitioning
It provides partitioning to make disk space easy to use. It can divide it into OS and data drive.

Excluding Files
If the data size of the source disk is larger than that of the target disk, some files of the source disk can be
excluded when copying files.

Measuring the performance of the disk
By measuring the disk performance before and after copying, improvement in performance after copying can
be directly checked.
Features of Product

User Interface simple enough even for beginners to use easily.

Can mutually copy SSD, HDD no matter what kinds of disk they are.

Supports varied disk linkage methods [USB 2.0 / 3.0, SATA 2 / 3].

If several target disks are connected, it is possible to select target disks among them.

If the data size of the source disk is larger than that of the target disk, Function 'Excluding Files'
is provided to allow the remaining files to be copied.

It provides function to copy operating system of source disk or to copy data drive along with
operating system.

Function 'Measuring the performance of the disk' is provided to check improvement in
performance after copying.

Operational Environment Check
Before applying WinClon - The Complete Cloning to system, it’s helpful to check the following items.

Notes
①
In case of copying source disk, all data saved at targeted disk are deleted automatically, and deleted
data cannot be restored.
②
In case of failure of disk copy, it does not give any impact on data of source disk. However, data loss of
targeted disk can be occurred.
③
After disk copying, slight data volume difference of GB between source disk and target disk can be
occurred

If copying has proceeded when chip set driver of main board is not recent version, this product may not
work properly.
⑤
When proceeding copy, it is recommended to operate other programs after closing them to secure
sufficient memory.

1. Start
1.1. Register product
If you use trial version, you can’t use disk copying function.
1.1.1. Product Registration: Internet
If the system is connected to Internet, you can perform product registration through Internet.
STEP 1. Preparing

Run the product.
STEP 2. Click on [OK] button after checking warning

STEP 3. Select [I'll register the software using License Key] and click on [Next]
STEP 4. Enter a license key and click on [Next]
STEP 5. Registration is performed through Internet

STEP 6. Registration is complete
1.1.2. Product Registration: E-mail
If the system is not or cannot be connected to Internet, you can perform product registration through e-mail.
STEP 1. Preparing

Run the product.
STEP 2. Click on [OK] button after checking warning

STEP 3. Select [I'll register the software using License Key] and click on [Next]
STEP 4. Enter a license key and select the email registration option.

STEP 5. A registration file is created on the background
STEP 6. Send Request-CSMBasic.xml to [email protected]
STEP 7. Enter the authentication number received through E-mail and click on [Next]

2. Disk copy
2.1. Preparing for disk copy
To copy a disk with WinClon - The Complete Cloning, a target disk and an interface to connect between PC and
hard disk should be prepared.
Checking of necessary space of target disk

It is more than 20% of use capacity of operating system drive+ capacity of operating system drive or
20GB.
Ex) In case where drive use capacity that operating system has installed is 100GB, it requires target disk
capacity more than 120GB
How to link disk


Can be directly linked to PC, using SATA cable.

Can be linked to USB Port, using USB cable.
In case bad sector exists in source disk, it may not normally function.
2.2. Disk copy
WinClon - The Complete Cloning allows copying of the source disk that is currently in use onto a new HDD or
SSD.
Disk copy is possible to copy operating system drive and 1 data drive.
Disk copy can be proceed with either Full or Custom measures.

Disk copy: Full - The entire contents of the source disk operating system drive are copied to the target
disk.

Disk copy: Custom - Some files on the disk operating system drive are excluded and the remaining files
are copied to the target disk.

2.2.1. Disk copy: Full
In case where size of data at operating system drive of source disk is smaller than size of copying target disk,
whole copy is possible to proceed.
STEP 1. Preparing

Link disk either directly or to removable hard disk via USB Port.

Execute the WinClon – The Complete Cloning program from the desktop or the start menu.
STEP 3. Click [Start]
STEP 4. (In case of many target disks linked) move to STEP 5
(In case of a target disk linked) move to STEP 7
STEP 5. Click [Disk Selection]

Select a target disk.

Click [OK].
All data on disk to be copied to will be deleted when copying starts.
STEP 7. (In case where only operating system drive is required to copy) Move to STEP 9
(In case where operating system drive and data drive are required to copy at same time) Move
to STEP 8
STEP 8. Range selection of copying source disk

Check data drive desired to copy.
In case where numerous data drives exist, only 1 drive can be selected.

You can divide the partition either by directly entering values in Input Box(A) or dragging Slide
Bar(B) with mouse.
If the target disk is small so that copying is not available, use [Disk copy: Custom] to
exclude some files from being copied or connect with a target disk with a larger
capacity when copying.
For disk copy, the target disk should be larger than 20% of the operating system
drive capacity or 20GB.

2.2.2. Disk copy: Custom
In case where the data size within the operating system of the source disk is larger than the target disk to
be copied or in case where unnecessary files can be left out, then the copying can proceed excluding those
files.

3. Disk performance measurement
3.1. Preparing for measuring the performance of the disk
By measuring the performance of the disk before and after copying, improvement in performance after copying
can be directly checked.
How to measure (the source disk) performance before copying

The performance of the disk is measured automatically while copying the disk.
How to measure (the target disk after copying is completed) performance after copying


After copying is completed, measure the performance of the disk automatically when the window is
booted after connecting with the completed disk.

Measure the performance of the disk on [Start] > [Clonix] > [WinClon – The Complete Cloning] >
[View Results of Measuring the disk performance].
3.2. Measuring the performance of the disk
STEP 1. Preparing

Remove the source disk from PC.
②
Connect the completed target disk.
③
Turn on PC power.
STEP 2. Proceeding automatic measurement of the performance of the disk

STEP 3. Completing measurement of the performance of the disk
The performance of the disk can be remeasured if the [Remeasurement] button on
the screen above or [Clonix] > [WinClon - The Complete Cloning] > [View Results of
Measuring the disk performance] from the start menu is used.
