The Romanian company AVI L.T.D. was established in 1990
and the main object of activity is the production of glass fiber
reinforced plastic products for the railway, metro and train building
industry.
Having a total no. of 76 employees, our company developed a
structure of two production sites of total 2560m2 on an area of
10000m2 where the production activities are developed under
adequate and safe conditions(workshop for the raw materials et
finished products, a mechanical workshop, a modeling workshop, a
modern workshop for gel coating and 2 painting cabins, curing
oven, workshop for cutting and finishing).
Due to the different techniques used such as the hand-lay up, the
injection in open and closed moulds (RTM), vacuum bagging,
simultaneous projection and thermoforming, we have diversified
greatly the parts produced by our company such as: bus parts
(Renault, Iveco, Karosa, Ikarus, Wright Bus), metro, tramway and
train body parts for interior and exterior – (Alstom, Bombardier and
Siemens) and hoods for Siemens Medical, Sides,Pinguely Haulotte,
Caterpillar, Lectra Systemes, During the year 1999 our company
was structured according to the SR ENISO 9001: 1994 standard,
obtaining thus the certification from the German body of certification
TUV CERT, renewed in 2002 according to the ISO9001: 2000
requirements, and in 2004 we have been certified ISO
14001:2004for the environment protection. In September 2009 both
certifications were renewed by DQS certification body and our
company received also the IRIS certificate for the railway industry
and the OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate for occupation, health,
safety and security.
In November 2011 the company got certified also according to DIN 6701-2
class A2 for gluing.

Preserving these strict standards of quality and environment and
using different machines (CNC 5 axes machining center, the gel
coating installation, the spray up installation, the dosing installation,
the press, installation for injection of the polyurethane foam and
thermoforming machine) and raw materials (ortophtalic, isophtalic,
epoxy, fire proof resins, different paints) purchased entirely from
well-known suppliers from the European Community such as Cray
Valley, Ashland, Leda, Rembrandtin, Wefa, Mankiewicz we have
become strategic suppliers for Bombardier Transportation (Austria,
Germany, Canada, Sweden,Mexic) and Knorr Bremse Munchen
and Florence, supplier class A for Alstom Bucharest and
Reischoffen.
