absolutely wonderful shrub is quite hardy; with silky grey
silver large leaves are the backdrop in July for show-stopping
stems of pineapple scented bright yellow flowers in large

Fabulously fragrant, cup-shaped, pure white, anemone-like
flowers in June and July and lustrous, dark green leaves. This
summer-flowering, evergreen shrub looks marvellous grown
against a sheltered, south or west-facing wall, protected
from cold, drying winds. It’s upright then slightly spreading
form is perfect for training into a fan-shape.
Real Black Magic, the stems turn lustrous black in their
second or third year, while the foliage is evergreen. Forms a
clump, although it is not invasive. Looks very good in

Evergreen fern-like foliage makes an attractive foil for
clusters of bright yellow, fluffy ball shaped mimosa flowers.
Its fragrant, nectar rich blooms are a big attraction for bees
and other insects in late winter and early spring. An ideal
specimen plant for containers, or sheltered sunny borders.
An excellent focal point for a large conservatory. Outdoor
can be grown into a mature tree.

Kennedy’s Irish Primroses are the result of over thirty five
years of careful selection by Joe Kennedy. The plants have
three things in common. The foliage of all the Kennedy’s
Irish Primroses is an unusually dark purple bronze colour. The
plants are prolific too, with flowers in gentle harmony or bold
contrast to the foliage. And they’re tough; they’ve proven
hardy down to 15C - . Our collection includes 3 named varieties
including Drumcliff and Innisfree and Claddagh. These are
plants that will last a lifetime, they will become treasured
garden plants nothing at all like the seed raised plants that
are so common nowadays. The Kennedy Irish Primroses were
launched this January coinciding with the 50th Anniversary
of the inauguration of John F Kennedy as President of United
States of America. Primula Drumcliffe is named after the final
resting place of the famous Irish poet W.B Yeats. Innisfree is
named after the poem Lake Isle of Innisfree.

BLUE BIRD
A late flowering shrub that comes into its own when others
are looking tired, this has large, trumpet-shaped, bright blue
flowers 8cm (3in) across with red centres from late summer till
the end of autumn. The three lobed, dark green leaves are very
distinctive. This shrub has an exotic feel to it, but is just at home
in a herbaceous border as it is in a tropical-style garden..

The flowers were used in Japan to make banknote paper, this
gorgeous plant is most highly prized for its flowers, which
appear in clusters on the tips of the bare stems, and open in
late winter. It also has incredibly flexible young stems that
can, literally, be tied in knots. Its crowning glory is the clusters
of fragrant, tubular yellow flowers, borne in spherical heads
1.5in to 2in across and covered in silky white hairs that make
them look frosted when in bud. . A great plant for the winter
garden, they rarely succumb to pests and diseases, and should
be planted in a sheltered sunny spot.

clusters of small pink flowers in midsummer, but it’s really
prized for the clusters of striking, violet, bead-like berries

its leaves. The young foliage is bronze-purple, becoming
dark green in summer before turning rich golden-purple
in autumn. It will brighten up your garden in autumn and

Chinese Witch Hazel’ (Loropetalum Firedance ) is a real

This magnificent variety produces a small spreading,
deciduous tree that is ideal for the smallest garden. it carries

HEDGE ROSA RUGOSA
One plant offers so much!
Beauty, privacy, protection and wildlife food in crimson
pink flowering rose hedge! The Rosa Rugosa Rose produces beautiful lovely, crimson-pink, bloom produced by
the hundreds with old fashioned fragrance each June,
and then continue to re-bloom intermittently until frost.
Followed by rich red berries in August which last through
the winter to provide food for wildlife. Planted 2’ apart,
Rosa Rugosa roses make an ideal rose fence, growing
about 6ft high. Makes a hedge so strong and thick, that
animals, children and trespassers can’t get through. Be
careful though, the Rugosa Rose is covered with thorns
which is why it makes such a good hedge. It is fast
growing expanding by up to 2 feet per year and is
suitable for any soil conditions and is very tolerant of
sea spray salt. Great for cut flowers
