The City of Brotherly Love Welcomes AAHOA
1st Quarter 2014 The City of Brotherly Love Welcomes AAHOA & Hospitality International Hospitality “Newsletter” is a publication of HI’s Marketing Department. To comment or provide articles for this publication please contact the Marketing Department at 800-247-4677 It is interesting to note that Hospitality International has been part of the AAHOA scene since its inception, all the way back to when Mid South Indemnity brought together its first group of Asian American hoteliers for the purpose of fighting discrimination against Asian hotel owners, and to also assist in gaining fairness in purchasing products and services. In essence, AAHOA was born out of necessity, but it didn’t take long for Asian Hoteliers to gain a foothold in the lodging industry, and the lodging industry in general began to look at AAHOA and its members in a brand new light. Like any good history book, there is always the beginning, and then the meat of the story unfolds, and the end; well, it hasn’t been written yet, but with the newest generation of Asian American hoteliers now at the helm of one of the most prestigious hotel associations, and certainly among the largest (in member numbers), it is going to be a successful one. It certainly can be said that AAHOA does not lack tenacity, embracing the ever-changing political climate and the future of technology; all the while remaining steadfast to it foundation of family first, and faith in one another. Many others could learn from their pages of recent history on how to prosper and rise above the hardships they began with. Hard work, education and the desire to be their own boss was, and continues to be, the foundation that has set AAHOA and its members on a pedestal many are envious of. Hospitality International is proud to be a part of the AAHOA story, and remains a friend to its Franchisees, present and past. It often likens itself to Hospitality 101, providing the first opportunity, which has proven to be a lasting one. And, like any proud parent, we were happy to be part of the growth of our Franchisees. Hospitality International Regional Managers attend the 2014 AAHOA Convention and Trade show. Note: While some of the owners have changed, the hotel itself has remained a franchise with Hospitality International since the year reflected. In one or two cases a franchise agreement may have expired, but it was renewed in the same time frame, therefore the hotel is eligible to appear here . . . and, in a few cases some of the franchises predate Hospitality International. 1979 - Scottish Inns, Front Royal, Virginia 1988 - Red Carpet Inn, West Springfield, Massachusetts 1988 Scottish Inns, Troy, Alabama West Springfield, MA 1988 - Scottish Inns, Lake City, Florida 1980 - Scottish Inns, Springdale, Arkansas 1988 - Scottish Inns, Griffin, Georgia 1982 - Passport Inn, Panama City, Florida 1988 - Scottish Inns, Richmond Hill, Georgia 1982 - Scottish Inns, Maggie Valley, North Carolina 1988 - Scottish Inns, Weatherford, Oklahoma 1983 - Scottish Inns, 1989 - Red Carpet Inn, Unadilla, Georgia 1989 - Red Carpet Inn, Syracuse, New York Maggie Valley, NC Locust Grove, Georgia 1989 - Scottish (Gordon Road) Augusta, Georgia 1983 - Scottish Inns, Osage Beach, Missouri 1990 - Red Carpet Inn, Houma, Louisiana 1984 - Scottish Inns, 1991 - Red Carpet Inn, Nassau, Bahamas Vicksburg, Mississippi 1986 - Scottish Inns, Pike Road, Alabama 1986 - Scottish Inns, Tupelo, Mississippi* 1986 - Scottish Inns, Henderson, North Carolina 1986 - Scottish Inns, Frederick, Oklahoma 1986 - Scottish Inns, McMinnville, Tennessee 1987 - Red Carpet Inn, Rochester, Minnesota 1987 - Red Carpet Inn, Boone, North Carolina 1991 - Red Carpet Inn, Horseheads, Maggie Valley, NC New York 1991 Scottish Inns (Callahan Rd) Knoxville, Tennessee 1987 - Red Carpet Inn, Emporia, Virginia 1987 - Scottish Inns, Gainesville, Florida Nassau, Bahamas 1991 - Scottish Inns, Manchester, Tennessee 1994 - Red Carpet Inn, Starke Florida 1992 - Red Carpet Inn, Oxford, Alabama 1994 - Red Carpet Inn, Absecon, New Jersey 1992 - Red Carpet Inn, Louisville, Kentucky 1994 - Red Carpet Inn, Albany, New York 1992 - Scottish Inns (Historic Downtown) Saint Augustine, Florida 1992 - Scottish Inns, Durham, North Carolina Albany NY 1992 - Scottish Inns, Mocksville, North Carolina 1993 - Red Carpet Inn, North Chicago, Illinois North Chicago, Illinois 1994 - Red Carpet Inn, Denver, Pennsylvania 1994 - Red Carpet Inn, Ronks, Pennsylvania 1994 - Scottish Inns, Jonesboro, Arkansas 1993 - Red Carpet Inn (Gulf Freeway) Houston, Texas 1993 - Scottish Inns, Jacksonville, Florida 1993 - Scottish Inns (U.S. 1) Ormond Beach, Florida 1994 - Red Carpet Inn (Ridgewood Ave) Daytona Beach, Florida Jacksonville, Florida Please join Hospitality International in recognition of these franchises, as we thank them for their loyalty and many years as a franchise in the Hospitality International system.
