Finished Block Size 8” x 8”
Measurements include ¼” seam allowance.
Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
3½” x 3½” squares. Place a linen shade 3½” x 3½” square on 3 of the
corners of the pink paisley 8½” squares. Sew on the drawn line. Leave
a ¼” seam allowance and trim excess. Press. Make 4 Merry Go Round
Blocks.

CUTTING REQUIREMENTS
Please read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so
measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces.
Merry Go Round Block
Quilt Center Assembly
Refer to quilt photo for placement of Merry Go Round Blocks. Lay out
blocks in 2 rows of 2 blocks. Sew rows together to complete the center
of the quilt.
Merry Go Round Appliqué
Use your favorite method of appliqué. Refer to quilt photo for placement
of large flower, small flower, and flower center.
Borders
Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before
cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary
to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.
Border 1
Side borders should be 16½”. Top and bottom borders should be 32½”.
Border 2 Sunshine Block
Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the linen shade
3½” x 3½” squares. Place a linen shade 3½” x 3½” square on each corner
of the assorted print 8½” squares. Sew on the drawn lines. Leave a ¼”
seam allowance and trim excess. Press. Make 20 Sunshine Blocks.
Merry Go Round Block
Cut 4 squares 8½” x 8½” from pink paisley
Cut 12 squares 3½” x 3½” from linen shade
Merry Go Round Applique
Cut 1 large flower, 1 small flower, and 1 flower center using the templates
provided. Add a ¼” seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method
of appliqué.
Border 1
Cut 3 strips 8½” x WOF from linen shade
Border 2 Sunshine Block
Cut squares 8½” x 8½” in the corresponding number from the following
assorted prints:
2–cream main, 3–green main, 3–pink main, 1–green paisley
1–green raindrops, 1–orange raindrops, 1–pink raindrops
1–blue floral, 1–green floral, 1–pink floral, 1–blue stripe
1–green stripe, 1–pink stripe, 1–blue dots, 1–multi dots
Cut 80 squares 3½” x 3½” from linen shade
Sunshine Block
Referring to quilt photo for block placement, sew 4 blocks together for
each of the side borders. Sew 6 blocks together for the top and bottom
borders.
Side borders should be 32½”. Top and bottom borders should be 48½”.
Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your
favorite Riley Blake fabric from the My Sunshine Collection. Have fun with
your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
