Extensive range of tooling products from Molex and TE Connectivity,
plus extended MOQ availability
Avnet Abacus is now stocking hundreds of standard connector application tooling
products from Molex and TE Connectivity (TE).
» Designed to provide high quality equipment options for all levels of connector

Delphi Interconnection Systems
Avnet Abacus has been appointed as an authorised pan-European distributor by Delphi,
a leading provider of connection systems for the automotive and commercial vehicle
industries, and other market sectors.
The new franchise deal builds on the success of the collaboration between Avnet
Abacus and FCI Group’s Motorized Vehicles Division (FCI MVL), which maintained a
longstanding distribution agreement prior to the automotive connector company’s
acquisition by Delphi in October 2012. Strengthened by the addition of the FCI MVL
product line, Delphi produces high-performance, cost-efficient connection systems
available off-the-shelf or custom-designed for a wide range of applications. The
products are designed and manufactured to meet customers’ stringent requirements
for robust connector solutions in harsh environments such as those found in the
commercial vehicle and automotive sectors.

Molex industrial-grade product line broadens interconnect options
Avnet Abacus has now expanded its successful agreement with Molex to include the
Molex Brad® Industrial range, including cordsets, connectors and distribution boxes for
sensors, actuators and bus network applications.
» The Brad® range is designed to ensure optimal performance in harsh environments
such as commercial construction, utilities, petrochemical and food & beverage
industries.
Brad connectivity products are available in six circular form factors, including;
» Brad Ultra-Lock (M12) Connection System, utilising push-to-lock technology
providing a simple, secure, operator-independent connection for fast mating and
reduced installation time. The system guarantees reliable performance in high
vibration environments due to the positive locking mechanism.
» The high-circuit density Micro-Change (M12) connector.
» Space-saving Nano-Change (M8) cordsets, receptacles, inserts, splitters and moulded
junction boxes.
» Mini-Change connectors that employ a patented Quad Beam female contact with
stainless steel sleeve.
» High-flexibility M23 Signal and Power connectors.
» mPm DIN valve connectors and cordsets.
All Molex Brad automation products are designed to provide reliable, continuous
operation in wet or hazardous and harsh industrial environments.
Avnet Abacus drop shipment programme on Samtec interconnect
range delivers an enhanced service for European customers
Avnet Abacus has partnered with Samtec to offer a drop shipment service on the
complete range of Samtec interconnect products, which features high-speed, micro
pitch, and rugged/power connectors used in board-to-board, cable-to-board, and panel
and I/O applications. This enhanced service provides significant time saving benefits to
customers placing orders through Avnet Abacus, with the goods delivered direct from
the manufacturer, and is available to customers across Continental Europe.
The introduction of drop shipments on the Samtec range takes advantage of the
manufacturer’s industry-leading ‘Sudden Service’ capability and recognised shortest
lead times in the industry.
This drop shipment service adds considerable value to our customers throughout
Europe, who experience a fast, smooth and highly efficient process from product
selection right through to the point of delivery. Transporting products over far fewer
freight miles will also have a beneficial impact on the environment.
