Today the world Energy supply is Highly Dependent on the availability of
Conventional Energy Sources Such as Gas, Oil & Coal which has resulted in Global
warming, Environment Degradation & lncreased fuel prices which has negatively
effected the Humanity.
ln order to give a strong impulse towards a clean technology and sustainable
society. Eternal University run by The Kalgidhar Trust, a registered body
established in the year 1-986 for the promotion of academic and spiritual
education specially for Girl Child, University has established a department of
renewable energy. lt became oblivious to combine spirituality and values with
research and development of renewable energy technology. We believe that the
fusion of both will drive us towards a better living conditions forthe man kind.
For this purpose organization works in closed liaison with its Colleges and all 121
Akal Academies (10+2, English medium schools) with nearly 45,000 students on
their rolls. The department of Solar Energy of the University has also established
different solar systems at Baru sahib i.e., s.w.H.s, spV power plant, Street Lights
and Solar Steam generation for Community Cooking besides imparting teaching
and research facilities in the field of renewable energy upto ph.D level.
