ThermeX Fresnel Concentrator ThermeX is a linear Fresnel mirrors solar concentrator for scalable heat generation at temperatures up to 230°C. Completely developed in Italy by Glayx Tech in collaboration with University of Pisa (IT), the system has been designed mainly for small-medium size applications, aiming at: efficient production of solar thermal energy to be used as process heat and/or within power generation; specific cost reduction of solar concentration technology as a key factor to determine global competitiveness for residential, industrial and power generation. ThermeX module outlet temperature extends to 230°C and satisfies over 70% of thermal energy demand from processes worldwide. The system can be applied for the supply of heat at low temperature (60-90°C), in industrial processes (90-200°C) and in power generation, in pure or hybrid CSP combined with geothermal, biomass and waste heat energy sources (over 200°C). One of ThermeX strenght-points is the fulfillment of high thermal-optical efficiency throughout the whole operating temperature range, differently from standard and vacuum flat panels. It enhances the energy storage capability at high temperature with lower volumes, improving overall yearly capacity utilization. An integrated production line. Glayx launched a production site fully dedicated to ThermeX manufacturing. The plant, located in the Southern Italy, started its operations in early-2015 and enables the semiautomated production of ThermeX modules with a yearly capacity of over 20.000 m2 of solar mirrors. The production line is fully integrated and has been designed with high level of innovation.
