• Ramsau via ferrata: C (Dachstein plateau)
This via ferrata precisely follows the ridgeline leading up Scheichenspitz summit (2,667 m)
• Siega via ferrata: C/D (Silberkar gorge)
Classic, challenging via ferrata in Silberkar gorge
• Amon via ferrata: C/D (Dachstein Glacier)

rewarding, extended mountaineering tour in combination with the
west ridge of the Koppenkarstein or an ascent of the Hoher Dachstein.
• Koppenkarstein west ridge: B/C (Dachstein plateau)
High-alpine and, with the help of a rope bridge across the »Austria
Gap«, an attractive tour to the top of the Koppenkarstein.
• For our younger guests: »Child & Youth Via Ferrata« on the Sattelberg
in the Ramsau area.

Climbing and physical challenges on the
vertical axis
The most famous climbing routes in our holiday region, such as the
Steinerweg on the south face of the Dachstein, have become highly
prized alpine classics.
But in parallel to the daring, towering free-climbing routes, you will
also discover some of the most beautiful via ferrata (fixed-cable)
routes in the Alps, including the »Johann«, rising 600 vertical meters
straight through the south face of the massif. You will find attractive
rock-climbing practice areas for children and adults, with all difficulty
levels represented.
On the Dachstein, you will quickly see that there are more than enough
climbing destinations to fill several vacations. And the challenges
range from easy to very difficult.

After enjoying wonderful views of the imposing Dachstein massif,
you begin a short downhill along the toll road until you reach a turn-off
at the »Neustadt Alm« hut village. From there, make your way along
forestry roads and country paths at the foot of the Dachstein in the
direction of the Bachlalm where, with a bit of luck, you will be able to
observe marmot. After a ride down a closed road, you will cycle along
the main road towards Ramsau. At the Auwirt turn-off begins a ride
down to the Grahsteg. A forestry road leads towards Filzmoos before,
at km 39.8, a short, steep climb begins.
After a last view of the Dachstein massif, the ride down to Mandling
begins. There the path feeds into tour R7, along which you can enjoy
a pleasant ride back to the starting point of the tour in Schladming.
