There are so many out there that you might be surprised. Bring a friend! HOMESCHOOL CONNECTION: We will be hosting bi-weekly sessions for homeschooled children in the Moody AFB Community. The main goal of this group is to get to know other homeschoolers in the area, have fun, explore Moody YP, and make friends. We offer structured activities such as fine arts, science exploration, Kinect challenges, board games, ping pong, foosball, and much more! There is no charge for this group. We will meet on Thur, 7 & 21 April from 1 - 2:45 pm. MOMC MOVIE ON THE BIG SCREEN: Bring your lawn chairs and join YOUTH CAREER FAIR: Youth Programs will be hosting their Youth Career Fair on Wed, 20 April from 4:30 – 6 pm. Stop by and check out the many different job opportunities, ask questions, fill out job applications and more! PURPLE UP SKATE NIGHT: Skaters! Come test your luck this month! Come skate to your heart’s content Fri, 22 April , from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at Skate Night! From 6:30 - 7:30 pm is Family Skate Night and from 7:30-9:00pm is Youth Skate! We provide skates and rollerblades but feel free to bring your own. We will have a skate contest, limbo, dancing, music and more! Cost is $5. 8 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Parents skate FREE! Theme: Purple Up! Don’t forget to wear purple! us on our outdoor basketball court for a movie and popcorn on Fri, 8 April from 7 - 9 pm. Popcorn is only $1. THE BREAKFAST CLUB: Teens joins us at the Youth Programs on Sat, 23 April from 10 am – 12 pm for breakfast and SAT/ACT preparations. MONTH OF THE MILITARY CHILD BLOCK PARTY/OPEN HOUSE: TEEN OUTREACH: Teens come out and join us for a game of splash kickball on Sat, 23 April from 5 - 9 pm. Cost is $5. Don’t forget to bring a friend! KIDS’ NIGHT OUT: Mom & Dad, want a night out but don’t know what to do with the kids? Well, bring them to the Youth Center on Fri, 15 April from 6:30 - 10:30 pm for a fun-filled night with their friends. We’ll have games, crafts, movies, and dinner for all kids Kindergarten through 12 years old. The theme is “Purple Up for Military Kids” Cost is $20. No open recreation is available this evening. Please sign up by noon on April 13th! 10% multiple children discount. Don’t forget to wear purple! TEEN OUTREACH: Come show off your basketball skills with a game of night hoops on Sat, 15 April at 6 pm, Teens vs Security Forces. Don’t forget to bring a friend! Call the Youth Programs to sign up at 257-3067. HOME ALONE WORKSHOP: This event is open to all families in the Youth Programs and base housing. Join us as we hear from guest speakers such as Security Forces, the Moody Fire Department and the Family Advocacy program as they provide important information on home alone guidelines. This event will be held in the Youth Programs gymnasium from 4 – 6 pm on Wed, 27 April. OPERATION MEGAPHONE LOCK-OUT: Join us as we head to Tyndall AFB Youth Programs for this year’s Operation Megaphone Lock-Out! We will participate in team building activities, paintball course, ropes course activities and check out Pier Park. This event is open for youth ages 9 – 18. Cost is $20. Space is limited. Sign up by Wed, 27 April. Time TBD.
