HOMESCHOOL CONNECTION: We will be hosting bi-weekly sessions
for homeschooled children in the Moody AFB Community. The main
goal of this group is to get to know other homeschoolers in the area,
have fun, explore Moody YP, and make friends. We offer structured
activities such as fine arts, science exploration, Kinect challenges, board
games, ping pong, foosball, and much more! There is no charge for
this group. We will meet on Thursdays, May 5 & 19 from 1 – 2:45 pm. Call

THE BREAKFAST CLUB: Teens joins us at the Youth Programs on
Saturday, May 7th from 10 am – 12 pm for breakfast and SAT/ACT
preparations.
TEEN GRADUATION CELEBRATION: YOU DID IT! Teens join us at the
Youth Programs on Saturday, May 14th from 6:00 -10:00 pm for our
graduation celebration! We will have music, snacks, games, and more!

new beginnings!
America's Armed Forces Kids Run - the world's largest
children's running event! Moody Youth Programs is hosting their first
ever Color Run during the America's Armed Forces Kids Run on Friday,
May 20, 2016. The event will officially kick off at 4:30 pm with check-in
starting at 4:15 pm. The run will begin at the Youth Ball Fields and will
go throughout the Quiet Pines running trail with "splash" zones and
water stations. We will be working in conjunction with Moody Family
Housing. The whole family is invited to walk/run in this FREE EVENT!
Don't forget to wear white!!
Event Details:
• Registration: NOW to Friday, May 13, 2016! Register at the
Youth Center or online @ www.americaskidsrun.org.
Registrants get a shirt (limited supply - first come, first serve basis).
• Time: Event will start 4:30pm; participate check-in will be at 4:15pm.
• Categories: Ages 5 & 6: Half-Mile Run - Ages 7 & 8: One-Mile Run
- Ages 9 to 13: Two-Mile Run - Ages 14 & up: 5k Run
• Location: Race will begin at the Youth Ball Fields (Quiet Pines side of
Base Housing) and will take place throughout the Base Housing
run/walk trail.
KIDS’ NIGHT OUT: Mom & Dad, want a night out but don’t know what
to do with the kids? Well, bring them to the Youth Center on Friday,
May 20, 2016 from 6:30 - 10:30 pm for a fun-filled night with their friends.
We’ll have games, crafts, movies, and dinner for all kids Kindergarten
through 12 years old. The theme is “School’s Out Luau!” Cost is $20. No
open recreation is available this evening. Please sign up by noon on May
18th! 10% multiple children discount.
PURPLE UP SKATE NIGHT: Calling all skaters come test your luck
this month! Come skate to your heart’s content Friday, May 13, from
6:30 to 9 p.m., at Skate Night! From 6:30 - 7:30 pm is Family Skate Night
and from 7:30 - 9:00 pm is Youth Skate! We provide skates and rollerblades but feel free to bring your own. We will have a skate contest,
limbo, dancing, music and more! Cost is $5. 8 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Parents skate FREE! Theme: Minions!
PAINTBALL: What a great way to start the summer! Grab your friends
and join us for a challenging game of paintball. Thursday, May 26 from
5:00 – 7:00 pm cost is $10.
JEKYLL ISLAND SUMMER WAVES TRIP: Grab your towel, swimsuit
and sunscreen! Summer is here!! Join us on our first trip of the summer
as we head to Jekyll Island Summer Waves Water Park on Tuesday,
May 31 from 9 am to 6 pm. Cost is $20 for ages 11 and up! Registration
deadline is Thursday, May 26. Make sure you sign up at the front desk or
call 257-3067 for more information.
