About Hylunia Wellness MD Spa
About the Founder
The Hylunia Wellness MD Spa was created by Dr. Lingam, the co-founder of Hylunia Skin Care, to allow people
to experience the Hylunia philosophy in a practical way. The Hylunia Spa is designed to be a place where
people of all ages and from all walks of life can come and learn to achieve balance, wellness and happiness
in their own way. With this goal in mind, Dr. Lingam has brought various Eastern modalities combined with
Western science under one roof, right here in Costa Mesa, CA.
Dr. Lingam is descended from multiple generations of Ayurvedic
family physicians in Sri Lanka, and qualified in Chemical Engineering
in the UK.

Dr. Lingam worked as a rocket scientist for major corporations around
the world in the area of pharmaceutical and synthetic (rocket) fuels
before entering into the anti-aging - wellness field twenty-five years
ago. Since 1988, he has combined the wisdom of the East with the
science of the West to provide true and practical result-oriented,
age-defying programs, therapies, and toxin-free formulations. Dr.
Lingam has conducted research for 15 years with Brian Jegasothy,
MD, formerly chairman of the Department of Dermatology, University
of Pittsburgh, on anti-aging, inflammatory and anti-inflammatory
ingredients. Through his research Dr. Lingam has confirmed beyond
doubt that for health and longevity, it is not sufficient to avoid toxins
and prevent inflammation; one also needs to attain and maintain
happiness to boost the immune system. Dr. Lingam has also worked
with nutritional experts, yogis and Ayurvedic physicians, anti-aging
physicians and scientists, plastic surgeons and Naturopathic
physicians in India and the United States to develop outstanding
age-defying programs and therapies.

The Metro-Man Facial : 60 min
Our signature men’s facial is custom designed for each man’s preference
and likes. This facial includes a thorough cleansing with our plant
derived natural skin care products, an exfoliation, anti-aging mask
and a finishing moisturizer. You feel clean, fresh and happy.

Heal and restore your over-exposed skin. As part of the Sunburn Remedy Facial, a clinically proven, plant derived, pure Hyaluronic Acid heals
your skin, while Aloe Vera and Green Tea soothe and reduce any inflammation.
Most damage to your skin by sun exposure occurs in the summer. Also, the Santa Anna wind dries your skin and deepens those fine lines. The
build-up of damaged and dead skin cells gives a dull look to your face and body. Furthermore, repeated sun exposure and damage to

While modern science does not fully understand the mysteries of sleep, it has been studied in great detail by India’s yogic traditions and
there are centuries-old, proven techniques for inducing deep sleep that help people’s bodies and minds to relax, recuperate and return to
balance and vitality. Hylunia brings you yogic sleep therapies designed exclusively for Hylunia Spa customers by Dr. Lingam.
Shirodhara Ritual : 60 min
This ancient Ayurvedic treatment is the absolute queen of all healing relaxation therapies. Deep breathing techniques calm your senses and
prepare you for warm oil gently cascading onto your forehead to stimulate your 3rd eye chakra while it runs through your hair. Try this if you
want to have an out-of-this-world relaxation technique. This ritual is not recommended if your hair has been treated with sensitive hair dyes.
First, we dry brush your body to buff and clear away dry areas and calm the nerves. Next, we soothe and restore with a wrap comprised of an
exotic blend of hormone balancing herbs and minerals specifically formulated to calm and balance the female body and stabilize hormonal

After the birth of my daughter in 1987, we discovered that standard skin care products recommended for
infants led to the irritation and inflammation of our baby girl’s skin. On searching for alternatives we found
that there was a lack of non-irritating and non-inflammatory infant skin care products on the market. We
also discovered that continuous inflammation was a precursor to many diseases that affected people of all
ages and skin types. These discoveries inspired me to co-found Hylunia Skin Care products in 1988. I decided
to extend my paternal love for my daughter to all of humanity by formulating our products for all ages and
skin types with enormous love and caring. To our knowledge we were the first company to use plant based
Hyaluronic acid in all their products in 1988. Our products are free of all known harmful toxins, endocrine
disruptors and inflammatory ingredients including parabens, preservatives and sulphates. Hylunia products

At the Hylunia Wellness MD Spa we believe in providing our spa guests with the best education and tools
to empower themselves to take their health into their own hands. Towards that end, the Hylunia spa regularly
conducts workshops on various wellness topics. These include topics such as anti-aging, stress reduction,
sleep therapy, meditation, relationships, work-life balance, beauty & skin care and so on. These classes are
conducted by Dr. Lingam and other experts from various fields.
Most of these workshops are free for members. Non-members are charged a nominal fee.

At the Hylunia Wellness MD Spa, yoga focuses on merging all your energies into one positive energy. We
believe in happiness, so we make yoga fun for you regardless of your age, gender, state of mind, flexibility level
and intention. Yoga is for everyone. Rather than abide by strict yoga discipline, we work with you individually
to reach your potential for maximum benefit. All yoga classes start with a discussion of your intentions and
purpose and a session of laughter yoga.
